Official Panthers - Saints Gameday Thread

Great last drive. Especially the TD pass. Three great parts to that play:

1. Fantastic catch by Hixon

2. Nice throw by Cam...put it where it was either incomplete or Hixon was making the catch

3. Biggest thing (and more subtle) was Cam's movement in the pocket. They sent a safety blitz off the corner. Cam saw is and stepped to in inside to give him a split second more time. Then, he quickly reset his feet and made a great throw. Big time play by making the small play.

What a great time there.....we were rocking in Sec 540

At least half your posts, if not more, you're getting annoyed at people for expecting more out of someone or something, even when they aren't.  You rush to defense of people that don't need it, often at points it's not needed.  You also seem to have a hardon for specific posters, since interestingly you quote ME instead of the people calling for Cam to be benched in this thread. lol

And you're damn right I expect more out of him than some random guy signed off our practice squad, and I also give him more credit when we win.  He's the quarterback, welcome to the NFL and welcome to fanbases.  However, I certainly don't think he's alone the reason we didn't look good, offensively, for most of the game AT ALL.  If you'd paid the fug attention to my original post you quoted you'd note something special about what I said that you are clearly missing: " fire Shula..."  I'm putting blame on people other than Cam, so gtfo.  I still want Shula fired, and I never wanted Cam benched or anything like it.

Hmmmm. ignoring the actually plays of the Panthers offense and act like Cam is responsible for every Offense is your idea of expecting more out of your QB.

I guess you will wait for those in the media to tell you how to feel about Cam. No wonder they have yet to call out the Offense. Instead they try to make it more about Cam and everything he's doing.

Also, it was you who started threads already tearing down Cam before the game was over.

And please do me a favor, why don't you practice what you seem to enjoy preaching about Cam's immaturity these past three seasons. Why don't you swallow some humble pie and admit you were WRONG. All I've seen you do is defend your actions and TRY to spin your way out of being to presumptious about your QB.

But, the offense gas sputtered for a few games lately. They need to find that swag again or we won't win next week or go anywhere in the playoffs.

I am betting they get the ship righted.

Stop being so generous. The Panthers Offense have SUCKED Much this entire season. Everyone with eyes to see and not don't feel the need  to hate on Cam can see he's the one who have been keeping the Offensive team in games on the Offensive side. Even worst is some take him so much for granted at they are ready to bench his ass for any little ish, while never once seriously calling out the rest of the team.

My biggest pet peeve have always been, how Cam is being treated by the echelon of the Sports Media. I will add Dalton to that list. Even thou I believe Dalton has been blessed with AJ and a team that simply need a good QB, both thesr QBs from the 2011 draft class, gets pissed on a lot by those in the media despite what they do for their team. IMO, that says they know exactly what they have in the QBs they rain-down endless praises on like Luck and RG. I have yet to hear the franchise label attached to Dalton, just like Cam.

I am here to shove my face in panther poo. Im a man so i won't hide after a loss. We are SOOOFTTTT capital Ts!!! Hats off to that defense of y'all's. Luke played a hell of a game with 24 tackles. He was all over the field. You guys have the inside track to the division and it is well deserved. Our defense played one hell of a game but big time players make big time plays when it matters and thats exactly what Cam did. Bottled up all game he found a way to will you guys to a victory on one final drive and thats what great quarterbacks do. This is a reality check to our fan base who has been spoiled and feel we are entitled to wins simply because we have Brees and Payton. Brees played like poo AGAIN and Sean Payton called one of the worst games ive ever witnessed in my life. (WTF was that play on fourth down outta the fake punt formation with the back up qb?) you guys have the recipe for success in the playoffs. A great defense and a good running game. Much success going forward. Hopefully we meet in the playoffs again. Had to come eat crow since Saints Report is crashing and burning right now lol

I'm at a loss. I was at this game, it was fugging unbelievable. Amazing. Best game I have ever been to anywhere.

When the rain came in the 3rd the crowd actually got more hyped. My section never sat down and danced through the downpour just to keep warm.

The stakes were high, the atmosphere electric, and when we scored the go ahead TD the building was literally shaking and rocking.

I have had some poo going on personally, but this moment will go down as one of the best moments ever. It was needed.

The rain, the stakes, the drive. ZOMG. Amazing day.

Show me where I said that Cam was solely responsible for anything.  Good luck finding it!

Show me where I actually started such a thread that was directly tearing Cam down.  I think you misread my original post you quoted.  The entire point of the post you quoted was that I was pointing out how wrong I was about Cam today, but had my post actually been made, it would have said, paraphrased to the extreme, "Fire Shula, he is awful and has lived off Cam making incredible plays for too long.  Speaking of which, Cam looked hurt today and was missing high, what was up with him?  How much did the loss of Smitty hurt the offense?"

When the fug did I preach ANYTHING about Cam's immaturity?!  I don't even know what you're talking about there because I don't even think Cam was being immature last season.  You seem to be confusing me with someone.  But sure, let's show you where I'm capable of eating my crow when Cam has a bad day but makes it all irrelevant by being fuging awesome...

If you actually read this forum instead of just being a troll, you'd see multiple posts where I was more than to my and that  Instead, you choose to pick on of the many posters on this board that absolutely loves Cam, but can admit when he looks off for most of the game, and happens to lament that in a gameday thread where fans are already emotional.  I keep my posting in the gameday thread until the end of the game specifically because I EXPECT people to overreact here, and I think that's pretty fuging standard.

Do you really think I'd want to still if I thought Cam was somehow the primary person responsible for our offensive struggles lately?

Now how about you eat YOUR crow and admit I'm not the poster you think I am.

That was an INSANE game to attend. Sat in row 224. It was cloudy, infuriating, enjoyable, exciting, wet, shocking, frustrating, dry, disappointing, jaw-dropping, and ultimately exhilaratingly successful. Still so overjoyed at this:

New Orleans Saints - 13

Carolina Panthers - 17

Here's a pic I took during the torrential downpour (I was covered, so it was cool, lol)

WE ARE IN THE PLAYOFFSSS
