To The Original Charlotte Bobcat Fans...

Well...

We're about to transition into a new era, the Hornets era. But before we do I just wanted to thank all of you guys (even the guys that want to take).

I remember a long time ago when the Bobcats first arrived in Charlotte, for the most part they were met with hostility because people couldn't forgive the previous team and their owner for taking them from the city.

The Bobcats constantly struggled to to sell merchandise, fill the stands, and win games... but through it all, there were guys on this message board that embraced the Charlotte Bobcats because they were Charlotte's basketball team. I've seen guys on this message board at games before and I've noticed how lively this board has gotten with excitement even when we were the Bobcats (i.e. our trip to the playoffs in 09-10).

The point is, we will be welcoming a lot of new fans and returning fans into our family; but for those that stuck it out for so many historically bad seasons and so many losses... I just want to say THANK YOU. Charlotte needs more fans that will stick with the team regardless of how bad or good the team is and no matter what the name on the front of the jersey reads; and you guys did that.

In closing, as the transition from the Bobcats to the Hornets continues and Charlotte basketball starts to become a house hold name again, you guys will get the gratitude of knowing that you stuck it out to see the NBA's Charlotte franchise finally succeed.

Go Hornets!!!

I've been posting on here for years lol.

Speaking of Bobcats, I remember editing player rankings on a game years ago so Primo Brezec would be as good as I hoped he would be lol.

And I still think getting rid of Okafor was a bad idea.

    • well, the comparison is to last year.  The OL is a 180 degree from that.... and overall on the season they have had better skill talent for the same QBs behind a MUCH better OL.    So yeah, the O not looking any better overall is a red flag for Canales.
    • I just want somebody to settle into that Hangartner role and I may give Mays too much credit. He played so well early and has fell off since injuries crept into his vocabulary.  He was struggling to get push on those goal line runs today.
    • You cannot say it doesn't matter who is playing QB ever in any circumstance. The first two games of the season, Bryce was standing in the pocket with time missing throws left and right. We were running the ball well, but even the gimme throws Canales was setting up, Bryce was missing. Then you start Dalton, boom easy win at Las Vegas. By week four's end, three of our best defenders are seriously injured, center injured, 2nd best veteran WR hurt, and best veteran WR quitting on the team.  Canales is a rookie head coach, and he definitely has had some see what sticks moves. But players are being schemed open, the rookies are progressing nicely, and you have the albatross of some terrible lack of talent to phase out. I give him credit alone for pulling Mingo, Thomas, and going with the better/younger producing players. The scheme is better, he just needs better players and I am not going to write him off until he gets more talent, starting with QB!
