LaFell Playing For His Next Contract

and that's the problem you can draft or find a guy more versatile then lafell.

See, this is the problem. This may be a true statement. But it really has nothing to do with the topic. Some of you just want a #1, damm the torpedo's and all that. Who cares if all we have is a #1, Smitty, and Olsen. That should be enough. Not gonna be alright that way.

Where we are picking, you will not find a WR more versatile than Lafell. Even if you do you are looking at a #1, which we all admit, Lafell is not. Very few WRs are able to come in and produce right away. If they can, you are looking at a talent pushing for #1.

Same with a Vet WR you bring in. Any WR your bring in that can replace Lafell is going to cost you. What do you want to do? Replace Lafell, or upgrade the corp. Or both?

I want to upgrade the corp. We can do that, and keep Lafell. Some of you just don't think past your opinion. "All I know is what I want." Typical greasy kid's stuff.

Unless there is a plan to pick up a KR I think Ginn stays over LaFell. Ginn can break a game wide open every time he touches the ball. I like LaFell a lot and I want us to keep him but I don't see how we keep both.

Exactly my point if we resign both then it basically means that we are not actually looking to upgrade the position next year. Dont see how this is so hard to understand.

the problem is ya can't draft anybody that is going to cpme in and have the impact every game that lafell has.

That is the truth.

There is more to playing receiver than just catching the ball. The sooner you figure that out, the sooner that you'll have a greater understanding of football.

It amazes me tgat lafells importance and impact on the offense gas been explained thoroughly by rivera, smith, and proehl....and the young know it all fans continue to ignore it, and feel that lafell is easily replaceable.

Makes me think you guys haven't been panther fans long, or ya would know that finding quality receivers isn't easy.

If we don't resign lafell, then we'll have to add not just one, but two quality receivers (not easy to do) and hope it doesn't hold back the offense in the process.

While you laugh it up, lafell gets.more snaps every game than ginns offensive and special teams snaps, put together.

And while jizz over how many snaps he gets he continues to not get a new contract offer and Ginns productive mirrors Lafells with less amount snaps and all that other stuff. He will either play for pennies or he will be gone next year thats all need to know.

this is also the problem this is bigger then finding a number 1, you guys don't think about how we have to resign possibly ginn, mitchell, hardy and other rotational players........but back to the argument, it's not only about finding a number 1 it's also about getting a more consistent guy with a bigger upside a guy who could possibly replace smith in the future or step up if a big injury happens. Lafell issues at the moment just don't warrant him as a main priority so far this offseason

my understanding of football is perfectly fine thanks for your input.

and there is more to being a wr then occasionally making a good block......or making a big catch every 3 or 4 games, lafell is a 3wr at best but we have a guy who's got that spot on lock this year and it's that same content talk every year about a guy not being able to come in a produce but if your understanding of football was that much superior you would see that is not true looking around the league.
