If you want a good hole in the wall breakfast try johns kitchen on central in the plaza mid wood area. He's a huge panther fan and his food is good to soak up all the alcohol the morning after.

I'm also going to be in town this weekend.  I used to go to games all the time when I was a kid (from Asheville).  But I've only been to Charlotte a couple times in the last 7 or 8 years.  I'm trying to decide where I should eat tomorrow night.  I'm definitely looking for some bbq and/or soul food.  So far suggestions I've seen here are:

Any one care to tell me more on which one I should choose and why?  Or have any other suggestions?

A few tips:

 

Since Maine is above the Mason-Dixon Line--practically Canada--you might need to convert your currency.

Don't visit the NASCAR museum.  A simple drive through Kannapolis on Saturday night will suffice.

The tea is sweet here without having to ask for it.

The Klan no longer goes after all ethnics, non-protestants, and northerners.  They quit that stuff a while back.  I think it was October.  Still, to be safe, especially if you happen to be a Black/Hispanic Yankee Catholic/Jew,  wear your Panther gear and say "Y'all" when ordering your tea.
