I was never pulling for the Bobcats to lose.   When they lose I think, at least that's one more loss closer to a better pick.  However, I pull for the Bobcats to win 100% every game, and they are clearly no where near the worst team in the NBA.

It's not worth pulling for a team to lose, or you wouldn't be a fan at all.

I would have agreed with you before the season. We purged the team of its crap contracts and started over with the hope of finding a diamond in the draft. It didn't work. The joke that is the draft lottery left us with the number 2 pick and number 4 pick. That sucks.

The eastern conference sucks balls this year, I would rather win this year than pick 14 in this years draft.

Im actaully optimistic about our future. We seem to have a small handful of decent young players and Kemba is playing like he is going to be our star. (not superstar...theres a difference).

Im onboard with coach Clifford, so far we are fielding a good product. We play good D and have done enough on offense to put us in positions to win games.

Cho and Higgins have also done well with personal moves

I believe in the end, our pick will be in the 7-10 range and we'll keep it. Sessions may be traded and, as much as I don't like him, our offense is going to miss him a lot.

The way I look at it is, if we lose a ton, then what has the past 3 years been for? Obviously, we aren't doing anything right. However, by winning, it shows that Cho and co have been doing some good things. We have gone from being the worst team in the history of the NBA to our fans complaining that we are winning too much in a span of 2 years. To me, that shows progress and I am happy with how this team is shaping up.

Just sit back and enjoy the show. This is the best situation. When we win, enjoy it. When we lose, it doesn't matter.

Winning games is fun, but I want to see this team compete for a championship.  Losing this year and getting one of those top guys was the best way to make it happen.  It is sad that it has to be that way, but it is the way it is.  While it is nice to see the team currently in a playoff slot, I cannot help but think that we are trading long term success for some short term wins over a historically bad conference.

Why do you have to take this to such an extreme? Nobody ever personally called you out for what you believe. Some people want to see us win, some people want to see us lose. wareagleflyboy said it best. There is no way in hell I'm going to root for my team to lose but yeah, a loss does get us closer to a better pick. That can be said for any sport. Anyone who wants to see the other team win just isn't committed to this team in my opinion.

Just because we think differently doesn't mean you need to call me or CP8789 out in multiple threads. It's just sports. People will disagree.. No need to take it this far.

Are you guys really Chicago Bulls' fans?????

Ima make it short. Quit yapping about having "three" 1st rounders.

Make the Playoffs = Say bye bye to our 1st round pick.

That my brothers, will belong to the Bulls (top 10 protected). This is definitely not the year to hand this pick to Chicago.

I could never openly root for any of my teams to lose, but if the Bobcats do lose a game it doesn't really upset me. What sucks is that imo we are 1 superstar wing player away from competing for a strong 3-4 seed and actually making noise in the playoffs, in my opinion. We are very good defensively (and I fully credit Coach Clifford for that), but we lack a consistent offensive weapon. Guys like Big Al, Kemba, and Henderson are really solid weapons to have, but either aren't consistent enough or don't have the talent to be a #1 option. I just imagine that this team would be nasty with an Andrew Wiggins or a Jabari Parker.

I do not agree with this part.  If we were not committed to the team then would would not care either way what the team does.  We are both committed to the team and both want the team to be successful, we just have different opinions about what is best for the long term success of the franchise.

I think we have some pieces but are not close to being a contender.  I think that the best way to become a contender is to have a superstar.  This is a unique situation, one that would not occur in other sports, but due to the impact one star can have in basketball, and the talent in this year's draft class, it is a long term benefit for mediocre team to suck this season.  If I thought we could get our superstar in free agency then that would be different, but really, what superstar is going to come to Charlotte when they can go to a major market.  It is simply unrealistic.  Admitting that does not make use uncommitted.  I just means that we see more long term value in losing this season.

You are free to disagree, but that does not make us uncommitted.

It's been said already on here, but really if your committed to the Bobcats being the best that they can be long term. Then you want them to be picking in the top 8 this year, which means loosing. You want the team to have as many picks as possible in this draft, but the important two are Charlotte's and Detroit's pick. This team desperately needs for both of those picks to hit so the team can have 2 top 10 picks in this draft. The Bobcat's pick needs to stay in Charlotte and it doesn't matter if it's pick 1 or pick 9, your going to get a major impact player that can have immediate success, that's how deep this class is.

Imagine this lineup next year

Kemba/Harrison

Henderson/Taylor

MKG/Taylor/Glen Robinson III

Gordon/Zeller

Jefferson/Biz

That's not counting the 10-13 Million that Charlotte can use to bring in a FA. Easily a top 4 seed in the east next season, that's with the 6th pick, the 9th pick and a pick in the 20's. Losing one more season ins't going to hurt the bottom line, money wise with the Hornets coming back and having some big name players from the Draft on the team. There would be a ton of excitement for that team and it would drive ticket sales. It just makes sense to lose this season and is important to the future of this franchise, real fans that understand what it takes to win in the NBA consistently understand this and know it's just an unfortunate part of the state of the NBA.

For all you guys saying the Bobcats should lose so they can get a great player in the draft guess what:  they have been losing.  Forever.  They have lost games, players, fans everything.  And if they keep losing by the time they get whatever great player you guys think we are getting no one will be coming to the games for this team to make any money.  And the Charlotte Bobcats will be the Arkon Bobcats or Richmond or whatever city wants another NBA team.  Because without people buying tickets, they won't be here.  There is no guarantee that any of the player coming out of this draft will be great players.  But if the Bobcats, or Hornets by that time don't start selling tickets and making money, I can guarantee they won't be here anymore.
