Saints Starting Rookie Terron Armstead At LT Sunday...

Anyone who thinks for one second that Sean Payton didn't give this a ton of thought and planning is a fuging idiot.  SP knows what this game means and you can bet your ass that he thinks (and Ill take his football opinion over anyone on here) that this is whats best for the Saints.

Don't assume this means anything but a long day for Mr Hardy.

lol...the rookie hasn't played one snap on offense all year and all of a sudden, in week 17 no less, he's now someone that we have to watch out for? really?

brown wasn't just all of a sudden bad. he's been bad for a while and getting worse.

why in the world would you keep a guy on your bench that you think is/could be good and not at least getting him some reps behind your bad tackle? why would you not spell him in for a few downs just to compare? why would you wait until your week 17 matchup which just happens to be an away game and one of your most important games all year? because he's some hidden gem or because you are pissed at your starter getting beat regularly and just had enough?

is this kid getting the start because he's good enough or because payton is tired of brown?

That Armstead kid is a stud...He will cause problems

Key thing is the crowd to be loud and interfere with their protection calls

you can bet your ass they'll be dedicating extra blockers to hardy's side. this will allow better matchups for guys like star and short and CJ, so i wouldn't necessarily judge hardy's performance based on raw numbers.

This is what they did last game. Max protect. Most times they only had 3 guys out in patterns. And still completed passes.

IMO, we need to dump the zone, go straight man, and rush the passer. Brees ain't leaving the pocket, so we need not worry about that. Blanket them, and rush hard.

Almost all year we have imposed our will on opposing Offenses. Last game we tried to contain it. We need to get back to attacking. That is what the Rams did. Man coverage, and attack. Of course the aints didn't max protect until the second half, and by then it was too late.

We got out physicalled last time. We must return the favor. Beat them up, and we can win.

if he was so good, then why hasn't he played one snap all year except on special teams in the 4 games he's actually been active?

sorry....not buying it. better than brown? maybe, but even then you'll have a hard time selling me on that.

this kid should be abused all game.

The 6-foot-5, 304-pound tackle hasn't taken an offensive snap for the Saints all season. All of his snaps in the four games he's played have been on special teams, according the NFL's official playtime percentage chart, with only 17 total special teams snaps in 2013.

Either Payton is trying to give Hardy an early xmas gift or he's playing jedi mind tricks.

Peyton is a smart guy, he wouldn't put the kid out there unless he was ready to play. Maybe I am over estimating him but I remember his combine runs and comparisons to Joe Staley
