Home crowd has made great strides this year.

It's sad that in today's day and age the majority of a 72,000 person crowd does not know how in the fug to act at a football game. We've been kicking ass for years in SEC stadiums. Just do what you normally do at an SEC game.

People here act like it is complex to figure out how to cheer at a game. The reason our crowd isn't crazy like Pitt or Philly is bc The Panthers have been an average team and CLT is predominately white collar. I don't blame people for not yelling all game in the hopes we finish 6-10.

The years we are relevant, the crowd is great.

Also, JR doesn't want a Philly type atmosphere bc he wants you to be able to bring your kid to a game. I am thankful for this and I don't have kids.

I was at the Pats game and thought the crowd was pretty electric.  There were far too many Pats fans in the stands, however.

Yep....same with the Giants game and even the preseason matchup with the Bears mostly because of all the transplants moving down here and bringing their families and fandom with them but winning will change that. PSL owners will quit putting their tix on stub Hub for opposing teams' fans to gobble up when seasons turn south.

But wasn't it fun to see Bears, Giants, Patriot and even Jets fans walk out of our stadium with their lips poked out?  Winning will change that and opposing fans will be fewer and fewer.      Keep Pounding!!!!!!!

I would venture to say that somewhere between 50,000 and 65,000 of the people in the stadium are ACC fans. More accurately ACC Basketball fans.

Yeah, that is one of the many things going against the Panthers. This is a basketball state and the fact that this is also a transplant state. Tough to get loyal fans, especially when we don't win often.

Well to be honest I am one of those ACC Basketball fans. Now I've been cheering like a maniac for the panthers since Death Valley, but I see what your saying. The Bank reminds me an awful lot like the Dean Dome in the Rams Club section. A bunch of ugly sweaters no one stands and the most demonstrative action is the occasional finger point/ golf clap.

You have to consider that most people are so wasted at college football games that they honestly don't remember how they acted, LOL

But in all seriousness I agree, the fans have come a long way - the Pats game was the finest example of that. Everyone around me stood for almost the entire game and stayed relatively quiet on offense while being as loud on defense and I'm in section 252 where a lot of the "wine & cheese" behavior has been on full display in the past.

Winning really does fix everything.
