What Saints Fans are Saying - Part Deux

excuse making...it's what saints fans are best at and will continue to do until the wheels fall off that septic tank vacuum truck they call a bandwagon and they start cheering for the next trendy choice.

Right, Reggie White paid for BIG HITS, not INJURIES. They were paying you to take a guy out. HITMAN.

Good post. Both good teams, we had the advantage in the Dome and now yall have HFA. We have a great Road record going back the last several years but this year has been different. We ARE a different team on the road. We are a rhythm based offense that does not score as often on the road. I would like to see us pick up the pace and go no huddle more often instead of all the subbing. Anything can happen and i would love to sweep the Panties this year. Win or lose i will be back on Monday (dont post on the weekends).

Panthers Saints are 19-18 historically (something like that). So we have a damn good rivalry regardless how the teams are doing otherwise. Saints could be 8-0 and Panties 0-8 and it will still be a good tough game. Thats just how we roll. Like i said above this year HAS been different on the road. We do not score as many points for whatever reason but I look for us to have our best road game this year on SUnday. Number 1... We are very familiar with the Panties and we just played yall 2 weeks ago (even though yall played slop) Number 2... we lost last week in a horrible showing and will not drop 2 in a row Number 3 2nd seed is on the line and we will be playing lights out because we, like you know how much HFA means to the Saints in the playoffs.

1. We are familiar with the Aints as well

2. The we lost the last matchup 2 weeks ago and played poorly in the 2nd q. I think that chip on the shoulder is slightly larger than the one you carry for losing to a NFCW team

3. Same applies.

End of the day, I called a split a long time ago. Saints winning at NO and Car winning at Car. Anything can happen but I think Carolina would win 2 out of 3 at Carolina......and I think most Saints fan with homer glasses off would be forced to agree

Does anyone actually care what Saints fans are saying?

What they say won't make any difference on Sunday and when we kick their ass you won't be able to find any of them.

Remember: this is a fanbase who thinks that chanting "WHO DAT" is clever.

And original....

Good Post - I predicted a split as well.  While I expect a close game, that ends with a Panthers victory, it does surprise me that so many people are predicting a Panthers blowout of the Saints.  It is still a division rivalry game with a lot on the line - while I expect the Panthers to win - I do not see a blowout, like them or not the Saints have the talent to win this game, it just is not likely given their obvious road struggles and the way Carolina is playing right now.

Before anyone responds that I am a bandwagon jumper - could not be further from the truth - I am a Saints fan my whole life and a season ticket holder for the last 15 years - I still love the Saints - just trying to he honest.

In the past 5 years, even including this years subpar 3-4 road record, Saints have best road win record since 09. Also Payton has never cheated, the punishment was for not doing enough to find put and stop Williams from rewarding players for big plays. GW and defense were a separate entity and had separate meetings rooms. Saints was one of many teams rewarding for big plays, the issue was they were told to stop and didn't while teams like Packers did stop.

Actually the smash for cash programs has been part of NFL for the longest time and was openly deemed ok and within rules by Taligbue, them with no changes to rules, Goodell called the same thing against rules.

Packers defensive end Reggie White acknowledged yesterday that he doled out his entire paycheck to his teammates following last week's playoff victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

``I gave them money for big hits,'' White said.

The smash-for-cash program depleted White's $13,000 game check in $500 increments, according to a report in Friday's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

White, the 34-year-old all-pro and former Eagle, said his incentive program would continue for tomorrow's NFC championship game against the Dallas Cowboys.

More than 10 players received $500, including linebacker Wayne Simmons, who was rewarded for the fumble he forced that was returned for the game's first touchdown by teammate Craig Newsome, White said.

White awarded himself $500 for a hard hit on 49ers quarterback Steve Young.

``I don't know if the money is any more motivation, but I know I paid out a lot,'' White said.

Giving cash bonuses for big plays and hits has been going on in Green Bay since the 1994 season, the Journal Sentinel's story said.

About 75 percent of the players contributed money this year to a fund for that purpose, but the pot had run dry by the final weeks of the regular season. White and defensive end Sean Jones then kicked in money to keep it operating.

Greg Aiello, an NFL spokesman, said there was nothing wrong with what White did, likening it to a quarterback buying gifts for his offensive linemen.

Let's discuss this post.

No were in here does it say Reggie White was giving incentives to hurt anyone.  That was the issue with the Saints.  The Bounty Program was about paying players to remove a player from the game.

You should be banished to football hell for trying to connect Reggie White to the garbage your cheatin ass AINTS pulled.

This morning I decided to take a visit to SaintsReport.com to observe Saints fans in their natural habitat.

Here are a few pearls of wisdom they are offering...

It seems Saints fans are a little more humble before this meeting than last. That might have something to do with the plastering the Rams gave them.

I say fug the crayfish eating  and smelly Saints fans.

Simple analysis but to the point. Logic dictates that one thing must equal another. The problem is it leads to illogical conclusions, such as the ones Saints fans have come to use to come to terms with what they were cheering for.

You're correct.

You probably wont see me till after the playoffs.

Saints fans are usually busy during the playoffs not pressing refresh to see Mel Kiper's latest mock draft.

Anyway I visited this site the week before the first Panthers game 2 weeks ago and you guys were not like this 2 weeks ago,

What happened in the last 2 weeks to make you think that you are somehow on the Saints level?

What part of 31-13 did you not understand the first time?

All this nonsense about Payton is scared and desperate resorting to starting a rookie at LT and all this BS.

Every single one of you on this forum would give anything to have Payton as your head coach. And the non sense about being a bad road team despite the fact that the Saints are the best road team in the NFL the last 5 years.

I understand the envy but I dont understand how you can go from humble to the way you are right now in just 2 weeks.

This is Falcon territory you guys are entering here.

Dont make me enjoy beating you guys as much as I enjoy beating the Falcons.

its nothing personal its just the fact that you guys need to know your place in the NFC South.

And that place is rightfully below the Saints.

The Saints are paper tigers, everyone is anointing you contenders because you have Renee zelweggers dad back on the sidelines scowling away. You have a terrible running game and that was a strength of the 09 team. This is a different team in a different year and you are going home tattooed black and blue after this one.
