What the hell are the Bobcats doing?

Winning will help this team more than getting a high DP right now

No need to be so hostile.

Sure, from a short term aspect.

Long term wise, hell no. We have the chance to add a potential future key building block in the high lottery pick next year, have "2" other picks where we can still draft key role players, and add a legitimate veteran players to this core we have right now for next year. We're throwing all that always in hope of trying to sell some seats for next by making the Playoffs.

Just throwing out scenarios. Which one would you rather have for next year?

Scenario A:

PG: Kemba / Harrison (Draft: Detroit's)

SG: Gordon Hayward (FA) / Hendo

SF: MKG / Taylor

PF: McRoberts / Zeller

C: Jefferson / McGary (Draft: Portland's)

or

Scenario B:

PG: Kemba / Andrew Harrison (Draft: Detroit's)

SG: Gordon Hayward (FA) / Hendo

SF: MKG / Taylor

PF: Julius Randle or Aaron Gordon (Draft) / McRoberts / Mitch McGary (Draft: Portland's)

C: Jefferson / Zeller

I'd take B.

and, did I forget to mention that for the guys who are yapping their mouths about having "THREE" picks in the 1st round next year, you guys will not see that happen, bc if we do make the PLAYOFFS our pick will belong to CHICAGO (TOP 10 Protected).

Not one person mentioned anything about having three draft picks, so there's that...

Also the problem with scenario B is that you are basing that roster on us getting a top three draft pick and the moment with as many poor teams there are, there is about a 7% chance that we will have a top three pick.

I do however love the Gordon Hayward pick up and would love if we threw Ben Gordon's money to him.

Yes, exactly. I'm assuming that we will have three picks in scenario B bc I can bet my money on it that both Detroit and Portland will make the Playoffs. We will have at least those two picks for next year. I'm not so sure if we'll have ours own pick. Looking like it'll belong to Chicago.

Gordon can be had with a 6th or 7th overall pick...Add that to the Detroit pick in the mid teens in the 12 range and the Portland pick in the mid 20's and you have three building blocks, one potential superstar level player and you add that to Kemba, MKG, Jefferson and a FA pick up... WOW!!!!

Not true at all, Winning doesn't help this team at all. People have already bought the season tickets for next year because of the Hornets. Loosing does nothing but help the Future of this franchise both in the short term and long term.

Out of the last 16 #1 overall picks only one has won a NBA title (Lebron James)

Soooooo... lets tank and get the number one pick.  That's how we are going to win the title!!!!!

But every championship team since 1990 (save the 04 Pistons) had at least one SUPERSTAR player.  Not just a good player, but a superstar.  A guy that could be considered top 5 in the league at the time.  Whether is was Hakeem, Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, LeBron, Garnett, Duncan, Dirk, etc.  Now those players don't necessarily have to be the #1 pick, but it's damn near a requirement that a championship contender needs a superstar.  We don't have one on this team right now, and the probability of luring a LeBron/CP3/similar star to Charlotte seems to be slim-to-none.  So we're going to have to draft one, and the chances of landing one in the high lottery are much higher than drafting them in the middle of the pack.

Some of you will never learn, no matter what they say about prospects, there is no guarantee's.  Say we got the #1, pick whatever player you want, no guarantee they'll pan out, then what?  You lost all those games, for lets say Andrew Wiggins, he doesn't develop and becomes a Deshawn Stevenson or a Gerald Green..
