What's the point of Kenjon Barner?

not sure what type of noise a 4th string running back usually makes anyway or why anyone expects him to have surpassed 3 vets already.

and he is a 4th string RB on a team whose best rusher is the QB.

that really makes him like a 5th stringer.  Those guys don't see the field.

Sproles as a rookie - 56 total yards - 3 fumbles/2 lost fumbles

Barner - 14 total yards

only idiots would give up on barner at this point

he has problems with the ball in his VERY limited snaps that he has had. we are in the playoff hunt. we can't risk it.

the ball looks loose in his arms. just because he didnt fumble the ball doesnt mean he isn't securing it well. it's an eye test kind of thing for me. He scares me at this point.

But correct me if i'm wrong, did he muff that kickoff and ginn recovered. or was that ginn. i was at the fridge grabbing a beer and a friend screamed that we botched it but recovered. he said it wasn't ginn. I'm not acting like he has fumblelitis. I'm concerned because he is a rookie and a fumble can cost us the game, and he has had issues protecting the ball with the VERY LIMITED times he's touched it in preseason and season.

I don't want him in either.....but that is for pass protection worries.  Can't put a RB on the field and be handcuffed.

That kickoff was Ginn I believe.  He let a short kick bounce at like the 10ish and struggled to field it.

I personally separate returning and positional play.....the greats at returning even fumble at a highly scary rate.  Look at 89's Pro Bowl rookie year or Hester.

hey Ron, i know we're having the best run the Panthers have seen in half a decade, but we need justification of our 6th round pick like right now, so despite your playoff push, we need to see why Barner was drafted and why he still made the team.  we will concede winning at this point for our satisfaction of curiosity.

i wonder if he ever will be able to pass protect.

i wonder if its possible for him to bulk up his frame enough.

if not, we need plays specifically for him. but it'll be hard when Cam can't audible out and not rely on him to pass protect.

Sproles, Woodhead, etc.

But they weren't doing it either 14 games into there career.
