Hit Brees, control clock, and run the ball....Rams did it right

Getting good jams at the line of scrimmage is crucial for pressure to get through. We had a tough time with that last time.

Yep.

I said this in another thread, near the end of the game there was a play in the end zone where Brees threw Graham the ball. It was 1 on 1 coverage with Jenkins. Jenkins out muscled Graham and knocked away the ball.

It's plays like that, that separate us from the rams, we don't have 1 guy in our secondary that can out muscle Graham like that. Carolina needs to be ALOT more physical this time, if they're going to win this one.

Being physical with a Saints team playing away from the dome is key.

Seems about like what literally hundreds were saying we needed to do last game, yet we didnt. Everyone here agreed with said analysis, but just because we know what we need to do doesnt mean we will do.

This game will bwe different of course, as we are now tied AGAIN, and at home. That said, such things are easier said than done. Lets hope we learned a lesson from the past game, and can rattle that fool.

the blueprint is much more realistic to execute outdoors than in a dome.   Saints don't have their arena league offensive timing down off turf.

Weather in our favor?

being outdoors is in our favor.

crap....just not playing in the dome in new orleans is apparently in anyone else's favor.

you take that team out of their sheltered environment and they get exposed as weak.

it's just like those kids who spend their first few years in a totally germ free environment thanks to over-protective parents who go to school with other kids and wind up getting and staying sick. staying in.  protected environment makes you weak.

btw, the irony of calling the superdome germ free wasn't lost on me.

Colston was on my fantasy bench last game. I will start him, thus jinxing the hell outta his ass.

Actually man, i was the curse.

I needed only a measly 6 points from the Panthers defense vs. the Saints to move on in the playoffs (and based off this past week, I'd be in the championship game now if I had won).

But seeing as I am cursed in this particular FF league, it was my fault that our defense was so horrendous, because I needed them to be merely adequate.

Luckily I'm out of the running now, so our D should put up at least 50 fantasy points next week.  =D

Every yard and every play is important...Panthers cannot give up one inch or have any stupidness any where, in any phrase.

I said this in another link, and got blasted but I will say it again, Cam will need to have the same type of game he had against NE and

Shula's game plan has to support that.  Since the NE game, Cam has just seemed tentative to me.  He cannot be this game.  Either

throw or run but do it within 4 seconds.  Get the ball out of  his hands or get his feet out of the pocket and be quick about it.

Too, this offense cannot afford indecision and cannot afford to lose yards as Cam backs up when the DE collapse on him.  Teams have figured out (Jets, Saints) in the past frew weeks this is how to contain him and until he proves he can beat it, he will see a  heavy dose of it from every team that has the personnel to run it.

...and Shula, for the love of God, please please please, get rid of that stupid WR screen that has not worked for 5 years.  Don't do it.  Just don't do it.  It is an interception  return for a TD waiting to happen.

ill agree he has been indecisive when deciding when to run these past couple of weeks.

he needs to find that groove.

Watch the Rams game and you will see how they beat them down.Exactly what WE didn't do last game.Bury Brees and keep him shaky.keep the ball out of his hands and run the ball down their throats.Rams beat them in their dome, so no excuses about indoors or out. This is how we beat them and gain first place.

Makes me wonder....................our D line is one the of best in the NFL...........and the Rams D line isn't quite up to the stuff of the Panthers yet they got the job done last week on pressuring Brees.

So............is a fluke that our D line had an off day??? (hard to believe).

Did the home crowd have that much an impact on the Saints offense?

Or................was the Rams D line better prepared for the game due to the coaching strategy implemented?

If the latter is the case was the loss in the dome lack of preparation by the coaching staff?

I wonder.........
