Coach Ron Rivera urges a fan "call to arms"

For the love of God people, you must be absolutely insane on Sunday! If the people next to you are quiet, then get louder. Hopefully they will feel compelled to join in. Talk crap, tell them they will win free bojangles for screaming, whatever it freaking takes. We must pull out all the stops to frustrate Mole and fire up our team! This is for all the marbles...just DO IT!!

How can they urge a "call to arms" without giving us a 'how-to'. It's not a college game. It's not a basketball game. Here's how:

Pregame

Be at your seat.

When the opposing team is running onto the field, BOO! So loud that we should not be able to hear the announcer. I don’t care if they attended UNC or App State.

If you are at the end of the field where the opposing team is warming up, booing is encouraged. Talking to the players, especially trash talk, is not. Do not give them incentives to get hyped.

When the Panthers offense is on the field

While they are in the huddle and at the line calling the play, be very quiet. We want the Panther players to be able to hear Cam and each other as well as the coaches. It also helps when our offense can hear the opposing defense’s calls. It may also help to direct all your inner energy to our O-line. 

Once the play starts, you can be as loud as you want. Cheering for players and good plays is encouraged.

When the Panther defense is on the field

There should be no time that you aren’t loud. Period. No breaks.

From the moment that the opposing offense is in their huddle through the play starting, be very loud. If that WR or RT or RB at the edge of the huddle doesn’t hear the right call, the crowd won that round.

When the opposing offense is on 3rd or 4th down or in the red zone or kicking a FG, take a deep breath, stand up, and make more noise than you ever thought you could. Pounding the seats helps.

Again, cheering for players and good plays is encouraged.

During kick offs and punts

If we are receiving the ball, be quiet. Panther players will be calling out to each other.

If we are kicking the ball, make noise like it’s our defense out there. We don’t want the opposing players to be able to hear each other.

It would also help if the team gave the crowd something to be excited about....you know, like stoping Brees and Offense making plays and TDs.

I'm glad Ron is encouraging fans, I'd rather he encourage his coaches and players for a better performance than was had in NO.

i made a martial arts movie when i was 13 and wore a fake mustache and played all the villains and that's the extent of my movie experience

however i hung out with a dude from estonia in australia and he'd just backpacked across india and got approached by an agent who asked him if he wanted to be paid to play a part in a movie and speak english... he ended up on the set for a couple days and got a pretty good chunk of change. i also met a guy who told me he'd done the same thing in thailand, and my thai is passable so i debated trying to worm my way onto the set of one of those excruciating thai soap operas they play on all the busses just for the laffs but i never bothered

edit: actually the estonian guy's experience was with tollywood now that you mention it

I auditioned for the 2nd matrix when I lived in Sydney. When I got to the front of the line, they said thanks for coming but we're looking for extras of Asian decent.

I guess there was no part for an overweight, waspy guy with no jaw line.
