Well, when you're already 3-10, you gotta do something. I'm no fan of Shannahan, but I can't blame him for trying there.

Yeah, at this point, he's just saying, "What the ****, why not go for it? I'll be gone in a few weeks regardless..."

Does it help or hurt young Mr. Kirk Cousins?

Well, someone is going to have to speak with Cousins after the season since Shanny took it upon himself to mention Cousins as trade bait. At this point I wouldn't be so fast to get rid of Cousins.

 

The Skins are facing more questions as this seasons ends than they did before the season began. Right now, I'm not sure Bob is the QB of their future and I'm not sure I'm also giving up on Cousins. It certainly seems at first look the Skins are playing with more conviction and determination with Cousins on the field than they do with Griffin.

Shanahan was playing to win.  Every coach plays to win.  To say that they tank on purpose for any reason is a myth.
