Does Lafell's highs make up for his lows?

No we still dont have a WR that is worth a TD a game. Need more playmakers and LaFell is just a joe.

So who is this wizard 16 TD a season WR in free agency or the draft?

He's a guy I would like to hang onto for the right price.  However, he's not a guy I want the front office and staff to look at and think they have an entrenched starter.

I also remember reading under weaknesses somewhere in his draft profile that LaFell is was immature. I still think this may be an issue with LaFell, those lapses in concentration can be blamed on immaturity as well.

LaFell is 27, if maturity is still an issue I'm not so sure he'll ever get it. But he can be good and he can frustrate the hell out of you. He's a hard one to judge, I think what you see is what we're going to get. Just be interesting to see what he could do if they called his number more.

lafell is a great #3. he is a solid #2 on an average WR team, which we have.

 

i think we will regret letting him walk if we dont have a backup plan and he doesnt ask for something outrageous for what he does.

We need to focus on acquiring a no.1 receiver. We don't have time to replace guys like Lafell.

Personally, I don't think he drops the ball nearly as much as we seem to think.  Looking at some stats the other day, he wasn't even in the top 20 regarding drops in the league.  Admittedly, he isn't targeted as much as some of the others, but I don't think his percentage of dropped passes is that high.  And as far as timing of the drops, when the game is close, they are all critical.   

 

That being said, I am not sure if we should keep him, probably depends on how much he wants.

That's exactly the point slowmo, we gambled by letting a proven guy walk and drafting his replacement which happened to be DUI Jarrett. Not a smart "roll of the dice" chief.

Good Lord yall, we been bitchin for a decade to have a decent #2 and he is definitely a decent #2. He knows he isn't going to break the bank with his next contract. I hope we re-sign him for sure.

He is having his worst drop year by far but is still no worse than any of our other WRs
