I see our situation this way--we need a guy who can get outside at the 9, pin his ears back, and get to the QB. He should have been working on his hands, his moves, and his strength. At #8, we do not need to be drafting a player based on "athleticism" or "upside" or "ability." That is what college was for. We can't afford to miss. So if we take Williams, they better be right about him. We have Clowney, Wonnum, Jones, Barno, Johnson--but this draft is full of players that can pretty much do the same things--bigger, 4-3 types and, in our case, pass rushers who are under performing. In my view, the players in the first round that might be good fits have baggage (Pearce, Green). For this reason, I am hoping we wait until round 2 to find the "sweet spot" in edge rushers for the Panthers: Princely is my favorite, but I am warming up to J. Stewart. -
