So, I guess you don't know what the word "may" means. In TheRed's world, I guess "may" means "declare". How surprising.

There haven't been any declarations made in this thread, or on Bleacher Report regarding Tavarres King. I guess you just skipped over the part where everyone said that he could possibly be better than expected if he gets to play a down of football.

Reading Comprehension must not be TheRed's forte. Is that pretty simple to understand, or do I have to break it down further?

Are you going for a record on how many times you can say my name in a post, or do you think doing so somehow strengthens your argument?

Looks like top dawg finally let go of David Gettis, and picked a new guy to hype up relentlessly based on his expert evaluation skills.

I don't know about you but I think we could use David Gettis right now.

 

 

 

I just wish we had another option when it seems like our passing options are shut down.  It'd be nice to see Brandon Williams catch a pass or Hixon have a few more grabs.

You're kidding right? As much flak as I give Hixon, at least he's done something in the NFL before this season. Gettis had one okay year for a rookie, and people here already had him as a first ballot hall of famer. Gettis as far as I know, hasn't even been picked up by a team yet either.

Gettis missed his shot in my opinion. Maybe he didn't have the mental fortitude to come back strong. It seems like now days if you blow it with one team it's hard to get a shot with another. But there was a time where he had a real chance at being somebody. The talent was there.

That's why threads like this are silly.

I can't even count how many "so and so is going to take the NFL by storm, if he could just play!" arguments I've seen. Only to see them cut, and go from team to team until they are eventually out of the league altogether. If it was that easy, every team would have multiple elite receivers.

You can't just put on a blindfold, and pick a name out of a hat and declare a guy is going to be an "answer" based on absolutely nothing. That's basically the point I'm trying to relay to top dawg, but clearly he can't handle the fact that someone has disagreed with his thread.

Keep on waiting for answers that have already been given to questions that you have created within the depths of your own confused mind, and perhaps that's good enough to give your life meaning.

I'm not seeing an argument on just how, and why he is an answer of any kind in this post.

You disagree with the fact that King could be a productive receiver if given more snaps in the NFL, or could become a bust in the NFL. You disagree that he may be an answer which logically means he may not be an answer.  

 

This obviously means that you're disagreeing just to be disagreeing regardless of the outcome. In other words, you're trolling.

Well it would be a stretch to say that Gettis would take the NFL by storm and be an elite guy but I think his skill set would have been an asset to us. Especially if he never got hurt. But some guys are just never the game after an injury or time away. There were also some reports that he got lazy. I'm just saying having another guy similar to Ted Ginn that could catch would only help us right now.

In all seriousness, he'll likely get a lot of looks in camp next year. If he impresses, well and good.

I agree that we should still look for a top receiver high in the draft though.

Your title does not say anything remotely close to "he may or may not be the answer". Nor did you type the word "bust" once in your OP.

Yeah, basically just about everybody here expected Hixon to be doing what Ginn is right now, receiving wise. It all depends when that light will finally come on for a guy, or if at all. It's taken Ted years to get where he is right now, and he still has a ways to go. You just never know.
