One answer that may already be on the roster (BR haters, beware)

Credibility is not the question here. The Broncos really wanted him, just not enough to leave him from out there dangling when they activated Von Miller. We got him. I would rather read between the lines of Elway and Gettleman than the Bleacher Report.

Oh, they were SO interested, and SO big on him, Is that why the broncos now have SIONE EFFIN FUA????

Gettleman didn't sign Fua (we're talking initially, mind you). Furthermore the Broncos didn't draft Fua...neither did they try and hide Fua on their practice squad.

You're trying to compare apples to oranges. Perhaps they got Fua because they deemed him the best guy out there, one to be used only in case of emergency (i.e.m the best depth available in a crunch).

What does that matter? Don't you think the Broncos would have found a way to keep a guy they were so high on?

Instead they now are the owners of a very useless defensive lineman.

If this WR we have is so wonderful, and WR is a position well noted that we are hurting at, don't you think he would have taken at least ONE FREAKIN SNAP THIS SEASON???

 Draft Scout Tavarres King News
10/22/13 - WR Tavarres King's yo-yo week ended when the Panthers claimed him off waivers Monday. The Broncos had moved the rookie to the 53-man roster five days earlier after the Packers tried to claim him from Denver's practice squad. The Broncos waived King three days later to make room for Von Miller on the 53-man roster. King was the Broncos' fifth-round pick and is now the only member of the Broncos' 2013 draft class no longer with the team in some capacity. 10/21/13 - WR Tavarres King was claimed by the Panthers off waivers from Denver. 10/17/13 - --WR Tavarres King was promoted to the 53-man roster after the Packers tried to pluck him from the Broncos' practice squad. King, a fifth-round pick this year, just missed making the roster and had been on the practice squad the last six weeks. To make room for King, the Broncos released DE/LB Adrian Robinson. 08/31/13 - WR Tavarres King was released on Saturday as the Denver Broncos got down to the league-mandated 53-player roster to start the season. 04/29/13 - A closer look at the Broncos' picks: Round 5/161 -- Tavarres King, WR, 6-0, 189, Georgia...The Broncos have little depth at wide receiver behind the starting troika of Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker and Eric Decker, so they had to emerge from the draft with at least one receiver. In King, the Broncos add a vertical threat who got enough separation to average 22.6 yards per reception, but who also needs work to refine his route-running and pass-catching skills in traffic. King will have the chance to be the primary backup at the outside spots to Decker and Thomas. - The Sports Xchange

No... And if you'd actually read the thread as opposed to being adversarial for whatever your reasons, you would know why.

SELECTED BY: Broncos

ROUND: 5

PICK (OVERALL): 28 (161)

PICK ANALYSIS:

COMBINE STATS

40 YARD DASH: 4.47 SEC

BENCH PRESS: 11 REPS

VERTICAL JUMP: 36.5 INCH

BROAD JUMP: 123.0 INCH

3 CONE DRILL: 6.91 SEC

20 YARD SHUTTLE: 4.33 SEC

ANALYSIS

Strengths

Possesses the quickness off the line that helps him shake off press and fly by cornerbacks playing off-coverage. As a vertical threat, he can track the ball over either shoulder and grab the ball with his hands near his head. He also has elusiveness after the catch to free himself after a hitch route. The work on his upper body has paid off, as he can play through physical corners to get inside position when needed. Extremely fluid route runner, plays with tremendous balance and body control.

Weaknesses

Doesn't have ideal bulk. Dropped passes have been an issue for King during his career, and he doesn’t always find the ball in the air or go up to high-point passes downfield. Though he is quick and elusive, he’ll out-juke himself trying to make defenders miss in the open field. While is capable of making a block outside on quick screens, King also doesn’t offer consistent physicality.

NFL Comparison

Damian Williams

Bottom Line

King lacks tremendous size, and his hands have also been an issue at times, allowing potential big plays to slip through his fingers. However, he's a very fluid player, with impressive quickness and balance. He should be a mid-round selection.
