Exactly, it was completly even and simple. My only gripe was AWP heh. But even before steam i cannot imagine how many hours i sunk into CS 1.5 i was doing tournaments almost won a trip to LA with my clan, This was years before MLG (Major Leauge Gaming) started.

haha dod 1.3? oh man i would go insane on the omaha map as axis,  still play source but i miss 1.3 so much. that was right before i got into Star wars galaxies. (That's a whole different story) But yeah i was in CAL for a close to a year with CS 1.5 and even subbed for dod 1.3

I just picked that up from the steam sale. so far it's a pretty good game. I'd recommend it. Has a slight learning curve but nothing to bad

i've had the first one for awhile.   its a really well put together game.

i just couldn't get into the first one enough to try the second.   you have to REALLY know what you're doing to play that game, otherwise you just end up killing a bunch of teammates

sometimes the only way to tell the difference between your teammates and the enemy is their animations.  allied walk differently from axis.

Saw yesterday that the Steam Machines they sent out for beta testing cost at least $1300 to build.

 

If the Steam boxes are going to cost that much, looks like I won't be getting one of those either.

From my understanding they randomly shipped veru powerful systems and also systems that would be the bare minimum. One video I saw the guy had gotten the lucky one, With the i7 chip with Gtx 780 graphics card ($499). With the ability to build your own and company's to do the same price can go for $1200 or as low as $250.
