I'll say it again.....Keenan Allen

Quite the contrary. I think Allen will be a phenomenal player. I think Star and KK will be great for us for a while together. I just know not to base too much on a great rookie season. Granted, Allen and Colbert are two very different WRs on two very differently schemed offenses.

Gotcha, just making sure we stay even on this.

James dator suggested it out of thin air on a tweet and ace boogie said it was real. Also that disagreement was about star and tyler eifert in the first round gettleman wanted eifert and ron wanted star. I think that's what was reported anyways,

Oh so you're saying getts and his out of control ego let Ron get his guy. How strange.

See you guys think it's about the past is more than that. The past is the greatest predictor of the future. If we didn't take a wr because Gettleman believed the answer was already on the roster what's stoping him from doing the same again this year? He did go get two guys already this year.

So we are still talking about a sample size of one right

Allen's head coach Mike McCoy coached with the Panthers from 2000 to 2008.

He was the Panthers QB Coach the entire time Colbert played here.

From what I've read, he's using an Erhardt-Perkins offense in San Diego.

Wait Gettleman and Rivera were arguing the Star pick and yet the Panthers locked their pick in about 3.5 seconds? You would think they would have taken a little more time to discuss it if there was some sort of disagreement on the pick...

AceBoogie's arguments are based on so many hypotheticals...why would you assume Gettleman skipped on Allen because he was happy with Edwards and Gettis? That is a stupid thought...the fact that we as an organization went above and beyond in scouting Allen shows that we weren't happy with our receiver situation.

Allen was drafted in the 3rd round. In order for us to have drafted him, we would've had to have drafted him in the 2nd. Gettleman had and have a vision for our team. The start of that vision was to be able to collapse the pocket with a push up the middle. I think that he felt that we had WR's on the roster to make plays. It's a judgment call. I can't say that I'm upset about his call, we're 9-4 right now, largely because of our defense. I do hope that we can grab a WR that can make an immediate impact...
