I love how James dator went on a rant about it on twitter as well suggesting Ricky Proehl was 'pounding the table for him'.. We're 9-4 and some fans just need to have something to bitch about I guess.

See that's exactly my point if Ricky Proehl was pounding the table for him then it bothers me that we didn't take him. I believe Gettleman was going to draft two DTs regardless of who they were. There were also reports that they didn't even stick around for the third round. Some of you might not like the idea of trading back into the 3rd but it's something we should have at least stuck around and considered.

I've stated before that I think Gettleman is a bit arrogant and wants to do things his way no matter what. Wasn't it also reported that him and Rivera argued over a pick?

I never said if it was true or not and my opinions are based on if they're true. Same ones talking poo now are the same ones bitching in the game thread every week. Funny how that works

Fans will always bitch, but living in the past is unhealthy, that's what's happening here. The draft is over dude, get over it.

See you guys think it's about the past is more than that. The past is the greatest predictor of the future. If we didn't take a wr because Gettleman believed the answer was already on the roster what's stoping him from doing the same again this year? He did go get two guys already this year.

With the only WR under contract next year being the soon to be 35 year old Steve Smith, there is no way that he doesn't draft one. I share your frustration with the lack of competence in adaquately addressing the position over the years, but that was under a different GM.

James dator suggested it out of thin air on a tweet and ace boogie said it was real. Also that disagreement was about star and tyler eifert in the first round gettleman wanted eifert and ron wanted star. I think that's what was reported anyways,

There is no reason to be negative about our brand new GM. He hit his first draft out of the park. We already have tons of money invested in skill positions on offense. We will get our receivers but there will always be weaknesses on our roster. By the time we get out secondary shored up Thomas Davis will retire. By the time our offense line is looking good our running backs will be off the team. It's a never ending cycle. We have a salary cap and a limited number of draft picks. This isn't anything knew though. The Saints fans were imploding last week because they had no weapons....
