So we win 8 straight, lose to Saints in NO on SNF like everyone else in history, now we're suddenly worried about Jets?

And people say *I* am pessimistic? Guys, we're playing Geno Smith on Sunday. Literally Geno Smith. GENO. SMITH. Are you going to sit there and tell me the Jets have a better than decent chance of beating us with Geno Smith at quarterback against our defense?

So many people in this fan base are overreacting. Was it not just last week that the Saints were blown out in a primetime game on the road against a very good team? Remind me, did the Saints manage to bounce back Sunday night or not?

If the Jets score more than 10 points, it should be considered an upset. Panthers 27, Jets 9

You've been negative most of the season. We've been winning most of the season. You were positive this past week. We lost.

Please be negative again.

i'm back to "got to see it to believe it" mode.

had we kept it close, i'd feel better.

yes, we should win this one. we should blow them out. the defense should eat geno alive.our offense should score more than enough points to win. but how many games over the past few years have we been in that situation where we play a team that we should win only to fall.

rivera could be getting nervous and start coaching scared and taking fewer chances (like we saw last week). the players could have lost their confidence after last week and fallen back into the mindset where they are just waiting for what is the next thing to go wrong. shula might have run into a wall with his playcalling.

and the jets might turn things around and choose our week to be the thing that they pull it all together and start their run.  we might see geno get replaced and us unable to stop his replacement.

all these things have happened before, in fact it's been more the norm around here than any winning streaks of any length.

should we be nervous? maybe not, but after the past few years i don't think you can blame anyone for having doubts.

unfortunately, the last game is what people remember the most.  all message boards are the same, the ceiling crashes after almost every loss and fans can't see their team winning another game.

the jets can apply more pressure than the Saints did on defense but their offense is poo.  they are capable of beating us but I see us coming out on top unless we are just too flat.

Rivera looked like old Ron, stoic on the sidelines with no answers

If you guys are worried about the Jets, have you packed it up for this season? If you think the Jets have a solid chance of beating us, then you must think the Saints will beat us the week after that right? 3 game losing streak? We traditionally struggle in Atlanta too, so you think we're going to end the season on a 4 game skid and likely miss the playoffs? Hey, it must be time for us to jump on the Fire Rivera bandwagon again then too right?

All this because we lost to a Hall of Fame QB in his prime in a spot and time where he's undefeated in his career. SMH

The Jets scored 26 points on the Saints to beat them. Anyone see them scoring 26 points on us? Give me a break.

I don't think we'll lose, but i can give you the formula for a Jet victory...

We turn the ball over repeatedly.

We do that, and give them easy scoring opportunities, and they can beat us with their defense. I expect a low scoring Panthers victory, but we have to take care of the ball. The Jet's offense can't beat us if we don't make multiple mistakes. It's really as simple as that.

The first person to say trap game gets bant.....

From my birthday party in a few weeks.

So we're all invited? Awesome!!! ;)

Geno Smith is no Drew Brees. Brees ate Kuechly & our DB's for dinner in that game, getting the ball out in 3 sec or less. Smith will not have the same skills. I see a big TOP advantage to our favor. The offense will be similar to the SF game.

More points than the other guy. Enough to win. That's all I ask.
