Will We Ever Get Our Number 1 Receiver In A Draft?

Let me ask this question.  Which receiver should we draft out of this receiving group if they were the only ones available?  Allen Robison, Jordan Matthews, or Donte Moncrief?  For me, out of that group, it would either be Robison or Matthews, may give Matthews the slight edge.

Robison at the moment, but who knows by the time it's draft day.

1. Robinson/Moncrief

A very very distant 3rd. Matthews

Yeah he also got cut by the Bills. There is clearly some character flags there.

It's possible the Bills just needed room, and decided he wasn't a priority at the time.

I feel that Moncrief is better than all of them

Keep in mind, he was catching passes from BO muthafugging WALLACE

Barner was a pretty awful pick as well. I don't know if the kid can ball or not in the NFL, but right now we don't need him. A pick like Barner's should have been made in this years draft or next. Right now our backfield is just too crowded, and with the current contracts no way to trim it down.

He's a project. I heard Rivera talk about how he wants Barner to be a Darren Sproles. Rivera was in San Diego and said "Darren Sproles wasn't Darren Sproles the first few years". Maybe we could have gotten somebody better but the Barner pick was made with low expectations for 2013.

Good reads. You can see some of the more "respected" posters on here, including mods, making themselves look like idiots in these threads.

The entire board has been guilty of this in regards to being wrong about predictions at one point or another.

Curb the holier than thou routine.

It would be nice if we used him, but as of right now we're not. I'm not even sure Shula knows what to do with him.

Matthews is a very interesting talent.  I think there is a well of explosive potential in that guy, and may be the best kept secret in terms of receivers out of this class.  Especially if he puts a little muscle on his bones and is able to still keep his speed.  Matthews have what we call, "game speed".
