Will We Ever Get Our Number 1 Receiver In A Draft?

This board is going to completely implode when the draft o-line in the first round. I will be laughing my ass off

I doubt it. At least I won't get sucked into the implosion unless we pass on a big, fast, potential beast with great hands that runs good routes.  We have passed on so many potential beasts at this point that it's to be expected.  I continue to say and believe that WR1 talent will definitely be available in round 2, and probably round 3.  It's all a guessing game. Everyone was on Tavon Austin's bandwagon and DeAndre Hopkins' bandwagon last year (not saying that it was not warranted), but who's to say that Keenan Allen, and, yes, Da'Rick Rogers won't end up being the better talents in the pros?  The Vikings traded up to get Cordarelle Patterson in the first, otherwise he may have lasted until the second round as well.

I have watched a little video, and I must say (again) that guys like Jaelen Strong, Brandon Coleman, and Jordan Matthews appear to have WR1 potential, and I don't believe any of them are going in the top of the first round, if the first round at all. Thats just a few. There are others.  I know that our sanctimonious FO would probably pass on him because of his history, but Chris Boyd, formerly of Vanderbilt could be available relatively late, but he looks talented as well. Benjamin and Moncrief are not necessarily first round locks either.

All that being said. If we go BPA in the first, it won't shock me.

I liked him a lot and thought that if he ran a decent 40 time we should get him.  He ran a sub 4.5 (4.38-4.4).  He looks slow because of his size but man can he catch.  Forget everything and just watch him play in college.  That's what sold me.

Did you guys see Keenan jump the fuging defender and push his way into the endzone?

This is fuging ridiculous, we need a new potential number one WR.

As a guy who lives in Tallahassee, Mike Evans > Kelvin Benjamin. Benjamin is good, but Evans is great

It causes me some concern that Evans has really tailed off coming down the stretch.  He only has one 100 yard receiving game in the last 5 games and his most recent outing saw him get completely shutdown by EJ Gaines of Missouri who is considered by most to be a 2nd/3rd rounder.  He caught 4 balls for 8 yards against Missouri.  I think he's a helluva talent, but he's not setting the world on fire the last few weeks after getting off to a great start.
