Why was Olsen our deep threat last night?

To me it seems like Cam's deep ball has been off most of the year.

He rarely throws deep.....and if you factor in drops as should be completions I bet his % vs prior years isn't that drastically different.

Would help if he had a legit deep threat he could consistantly work on chemistry/timing with. Instead he is randomly asked to throw one deep every other game to a different player (who all are different)

Yup you could see it in the, tampa game(I think) where he overthrew lafell. Throwing deep to ginn and throwing to lafell especially sparingly are two different experiences in speed.

Yeah I think you're onto something there. I don't know his stats on deep passes this year vs. last, so I can't speak to that. But some of the situations they've chosen to go deep on make me scratch my head. 3rd and shorts from our own side of the field stand out the most.

Olsen is not very athletic. He has slow feet...he's slender. No YAC ability. But he does catch it consistently. He is what he is. A possession guy

Would love a bigger body at TE who can make something happen with the ball in his hands. They don't grow on trees though

Have you seen him with weeden, hoyer, Campbell? He's worth way more then a mid 20's pick. We should have pulled the trigger and given up a first if that's all it would have taken.

He will only have two years left on his rookie deal. So it is really Gordon on rookie salary for two years or another first rounder on rookie deal for four years.

Besides I don't think the Browns will accept the 32nd pick so we are out :D
