Panthers believe Jonathan Stewart has torn MCL

There is no doubt he is an upgrade over Bell, but he has to get those penalties under control or it is basically a wash.

You're either taking a 5 yard sack with Bell, or a 5 yard procedure penalty/10 yard hold with Oher.

Either way you are going the wrong direction.

I'll take a false start over a sack.  1st and 15 is a lot better than 2nd and 15 with the risk of a fumble and/or injury to Cam.

Sounds like a Grade Two tear.  There would be no point in re-evaluating after 10 days if it was a Grade Three.  Typical Grade Two MCL recovery time is 4-6 weeks.  I was back on a snowboard in 10 days after mine, but I can't recall ever getting hit by 300 pound freakishly fast men while on the slopes.

Not at all...

Dirty team vs dirty team...karma and all that.

If something bad were to happen to Brees I for one wouldn't shed a tear.

Yeah, if you live by the sword then nobody should feel bad for you when you die by the sword.

We're very capable of giving the Saints a taste of their own medicine, not sure why we don't?

It's one of the key areas where I thought we failed last night, we didn't bully a finesse team.

I agree and that is exactly what made me so mad about this game. We should have punched them in the mouth all game and didn't.

Yup, Saints are all about "sending a message" so I would have liked to see us send Brees some messages early in the game (before or a little bit after the whistle) just to get in his head. We talked about it all week, if you hit Brees early it takes him out of his game. I would have gladly accepted the 15 yard penalty and the fine to lay Brees out early in the game and let him know that one way or another he was going to pay a price.

And that is exactly what Seattle did to them.  I don't see us making that mistake again.

Yes, Seattle set a physical tone early in that game that had nothing to do with X's and O's. Brees learned early on that they were gunning for him and it clearly had an effect on him.

Is that dirty? no... it's football.
