Panthers believe Jonathan Stewart has torn MCL

When I saw the way they tackled him on that last play, I had a bad feeling.

Won't surprise me if that's the last we see of him as a Panther, maybe even in the NFL :(

 

Not sure how we get rid of the contract without taking on a lot of dead money.

With the way Stew is built, he gives defenders only one option, and thats to go low. He took a similar hit in the Miami game.

That 2008 first round is turning out pretty bad between him and Otah and the picks given up for the two firsts

Hate to see this happen, but the silver lining is now it makes the decision about which RB to keep not much of a decision.

I know what you mean. When I seen that hit on the sidelines to his knee, I knew some bad news was coming. Hate to see that happen to a good guy like him.

Are there grades on tears?  Thought that was just sprains.

 

Tears are just bad sprains.  A tear begins to happen at Grade Two.  A Grade One is just ligament stretching, no actual tear.  A Grade Two is a partial tear and a Grade Three is a full tear.

Agreed.....people try to do that to Tolbert too but he is so small and can get so low he ends up truck fuging people.

 

Almost any defender in the league would get owned by stewart if they went man to man with him...especially secondary players.

I aint too happy with olsen. Yeah he'll catch the ball, but he just seems like a tall lanky guy who is the last person you would want to make a dude miss for the first down.

I don't know what Gettleman has up his sleeves to deal with the RB contracts, but something has to be done.  We have to be getting the worst bang for our buck out of our RBs of any team I can recall.

Side Note: Yesterday was apparently a bad day to be a knee ligament.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski tore both his ACL and his MCL while Cardinals DB Tyrann Mathieu tore his ACL and LCL.
