Glad we have Olsen, would you rather have King or Rosario? Olsen has been solid all year...the guy can catch a football, so what he doesn't break tackles and run for 40 yds, how many TE's do that anyway?

His numbers are consistent with last year when everyone loved him. He may finish a with a few less yards, but Cam is spreading the ball around a lot more. He has as many TD's now as he had last year.

If you have the average line out, he is well above it at doing his job.  There are many however that are at or below, which pulls the rest down

Many in the fan base have been wanting another solid TE to pair with Greg since Shockey left. It's a need.

This is the strangest "I'm not bashing or blaming the guy, but..." thread I can recall.  We know Olsen isn't a Jimmy Graham or Gronk, so how can we be disappointed when he doesn't perform like them?  Olsen is having one of his best years.  If you're not impressed with him this year, then you've never been impressed by him.

 

If I was listing our most important offensive players, I'd go:

 

1. Cam

2. Kalil

3. Gross (IMO, #2 and #3 on this list are virtually interchangeable, we'd be really screwed without either)

4. Olsen

5. Smitty
