Were u watching the same game I was? Drew made the defense look bad. And the Saints defense shut down the offense. Also Cam can only make real decisions when he has options.

So tire of hearing the same regurgitated stuff. Maybe it's time to start really paying attention to your team and stop just repeating stuff.

Yeah I watched the game, poo happens.  No one is ever going to go 19-0 this league is way too good, and yeah a division loss it tough, but its just a loss that is all it is.

 

You suck it up, kick butt the next 3 games and get into the playoffs where the records are 0-0.

 

I  have seen really great teams totally fubar a game before, it just happens.

ok guys, first and foremost. We are still 5th right now in the playoff hunt. We control our destiny. We still 1 game out from division lead. Saints have to the the Rams, Bucs and us still. IMO, it is possible for the bucs to beat the Saints. Bucs have been playing well other than the game against us. If we learn humility and this makes us hungrier and we win our next three and Saints lose to two if there last three we win the division outright. Its possible but we got to keep pounding and hope Bucs pound the Saints or Rams do. Our secondary got carved up like a turkey on Thanksgiving. But its something we can review and make corrections on which prepares us for the playoffs and makes us a better defense. KEEP POUNDING

I agree with the title of the thread.

FP said it very well.

This team is 1 or 2 smart drafts away from being a serious contender for a long time. For the first time in awhile I was able to watch the game last night without getting angry. Like FP said, everyone knew what the holes were on this team and knew we didn't match up well with the saints.

Lucky for us this draft class is perfect for our needs. It's deep at WR and CB. I understand everyone wants to win now and so do I. But in the big picture we are still missing a few parts.

This isn't a "the seasons over" post by any means. I love the direction this team is heading. But Im thinking last night opened a few eyes around here. There were alot of you ragging on people hoping for wild card spots and hoping for teams like SF and AZ to lose. Reality is we are a wild card team and will need a good run like we had in 03.

It is clear we have some holes to fill that would make us even more of a threat as a team. We are no wheres near as good as we COULD be. Our front 7 is great. We need 1 very solid CB on defense at the very least. At Safety Mitchell is a keeper but opposite of him is a question mark.

 

On offense, and I've been saying this since day 1 - we need weapons. We need a #1 receiver, baaaaaaad.

I will be truly concerned if and when last night's game becomes common or three norm. I am not going to judge this team based on 1 bad game.
