We are so close to being a really good team

The D is right there with a couple tweaks.

 

We have a decent OL, but its way past time to cut J Stew he just can't be relied upon.

 

Cam needs to get better at making quicker decisions and pocket presence, and we still need more impactful WR's.

 

The great thing is all of that is quickly fixable. We aren't that far off from being a consistantly good team that year in and year out plays for a division title and playoff spot.

 

Yeah last night sucked, but we are still right there for a wildcard and once the tourney starts, anything can happen.

Every team has holes, they just have to play well enough to compensate. Last night our holes got exposed worse than normal and the rest of the pieces didn't compensate. It happens. But overall it's still a very good season and we're still well on our way to the playoffs provided this team continues its resilience and comes out and plays like it can the rest of the way. Once we get in to the dance, anything can happen.

 

Coming into the season we knew we had holes at OL (especially since our guards are decimated) and CB (still  a huge hole, but they've schemed around it as much as possible) and WR (Ginn has helped as a threat but Smitty is showing his age.) These holes didn't magically go away, but that doesn't mean we're doomed, we just have to stay balanced and play to our capabilities elsewhere.

 

But anyone expecting us to be Super Bowl favorites with the youth we have all over the place in key positions is simply not being realistic. We absolutely can win it all, but it would be a Ravens-esque kind of run. And guess what. . .that's not all that uncommon. Keep your heads up.

After one loss, it's funny how people forget that we were just on a 8 game win streak which is a franchise record. Last night sucked, but I wasn't upset. We lost to a really good Saints team. We just came out flat and it showed. I like the core of this team. A young defense who can only get better. Cam is getting better and better. Fix the oline and we are on our way. I would like a nice weapon who can blow off the top of other teams' defenses. We will be fine. Go panthers! On to the Jets!

We ran into a buzz saw last night.  I was afraid of that when I watched the Saints get embarrassed in Seattle last week.  They're too good of a team to get embarrassed on prime time two weeks in a row.  Now, it's our turn to bounce back just like they did.  The Jets are gonna get wrecked next Sunday.

I didnt hide I just did the old 'if you dont have something nice to say...' thing. Nothing wrong with that and I told Kurb I would be nice and play well with others :-)

Were u watching the same game I was? Drew made the defense look bad. And the Saints defense shut down the offense. Also Cam can only make real decisions when he has options.

So tire of hearing the same regurgitated stuff. Maybe it's time to start really paying attention to your team and stop just repeating stuff.
