The truth is that this was part if Riveras plan, and why he will be coach if the year. He INTENTIONALLY played vanilla defense so that when we come back to the dome in the playoffs he won't have given away all of our secrets. Keekly and Mitchell were COACHED to be in the wrong place and give the receivers open space in the end zone. This is all part of the master plan, and will pay huge dividends in January.

This guy lol

I'll stand by my previous post I mentioned prior to the game............the Saints are overall a more complete team than the Panthers.........due to injuries an substitutions the Panthers have a suspect defensive secondary and offensive line, however; we are a team in development and in the future I think the potential for the Panthers is greater than the Saints.........

But we are not there yet.......work in progress............

All that said...........the NFL has developed with free agency and salary caps a product where who knows who is going to beat who anymore...........and that's the way they prefer it..................

I grew up in Pittsburgh in the 50s' through 80's and saw the league in days where a small market team could stay in the bottom and then build to a dynasty ........but those days are over.

4 super bowls wins in 6 years?.....................Those days are long gone which is probably a good thing for entertainment reasons........

I think most thought Rivera would be canned this year if we didn't make the playoffs. The way we started it looked like a sure thing, but the team showed heart and ran off 8 straight wins equaling a franchise record. Most could not see a 10 win season. Now we can see 10 or more wins  and playoffs in sight.

All in all not bad for Gettleman's first draft.  We need 1-2 more drafts and we will be in the playoffs every year. Stay the course with Rivera and Shula.

Both have done a much better job this year.
