Reality check time....keep it in perspective

Truth is we are a good team amongst many good teams. This winning streak we had has given the fan base high hopes and high expectations. We are still a year or two away from being a solid top five team n this league, and that is just our reality. We are playing low level free agents in our secondary along with UFA's, have a subpar recieving Corp with a bad offensive line. Let's find solace in knowing that we should improve next year with changes and should be a better squad for it. We will have a winning record this year and if playoffs are in the picture, even better. Most believed we should win nine or ten games this year and that will happen. Once a fan always a fan.Enjoy the remaining games we have left and sit back and watch what we do in the offseason. I'm sure DG has a plan for us to be successful for many years to come.

Thanks for at least a few sane fans in here. Most fans are running around with their heads cut off, it seems.

Bottom line is we are still projected #5 seed in NFC. Just ask the Giants if seeding matters when it comes to deep playoff runs. We were once wondering if we could get beyond 1 win this season. I think we've exceeded expectations by far.

We'll get to the playoffs. We'll see how it rolls.

Next year, if we address the problem areas there is no way we aren't an overall  top 5 or 3 NFL team.

at the beginning of the year I called 12-4.  I never once thought that we would get past the 2nd round of the playoffs.. now I do beleive we can get to the big game.   but its gonna take better football than we saw last night.   Its scary to think how good this team is, but yet they still have SOOO much room for improvement.

order of need..

O line x2 +1 fa

Top Teir CB needed.  good luck finding one.

WR + 1 fa

Totally agreed.  As much as the loss hurt it only counts as one loss.  This team won 8 in a row after a loss like this to Arizona.  It would be pretty sweet to put 7 in a row together now!  At 1-3 earlier this season, the fumble loss to Seattle, the last minute heroics of a rookie QB in Buffalo it really felt like the same old Panthers.  Then they gave us this streak and in the span of 8 games completely changed the expectations for the season and for the fans.  The Panthers lost a game we all wanted, and lost it bad...but I'm proud of this team and where we stand!  I feel bad for the Jets this Sunday...Panthers will be angry.

I feel like we're a lot like Seattle was last year.  We're on the rise but not quite there yet.  A few adjustments, more experience, and some key additions (and subtractions) and we're going to be at the top.  Don't get me wrong...I certainly think we can make a run at NYC in Feb.  But even more important is I believe were getting in position to sustain some long-term success.

I dont know that they quit so much as the Saints had their number. After they way they got handled up in Seattle, you had to think it was a probable possibility. This was their shot at redemption after gettin took deep.. NO knew what they wanted to do and did it, we just couldnt stop it. At no point last night did I feel like they gave up, when they showed shots of Cam on the sideline, he looked a little chompin at the bit to get on the field...

Dont revel in it, look, learn, move on...

The truth is that this was part if Riveras plan, and why he will be coach if the year. He INTENTIONALLY played vanilla defense so that when we come back to the dome in the playoffs he won't have given away all of our secrets. Keekly and Mitchell were COACHED to be in the wrong place and give the receivers open space in the end zone. This is all part of the master plan, and will pay huge dividends in January.
