San Diego East (something to watch for in the coming weeks)

Rivera hails from the norv turner coaching tree. Norv's M.O was to go a a huge mid season win streak only to collapse in the 4th quarter of the season. It will be interesting to see if Ron follows suit or finishes this ride out with a playoff berth.

For the record, I think Ron has it figured out and just chalk this loss up to the saints being better in their building.

Norv is an offensive coach. Rivera takes most of what he has learned from coaching from jim johnson, mike ditka and john madden. Ron is not norv turner

this.

If you want a Norv clone, look at Chud in Cleveland. How are they doing this year? Putting up every stat in the book besides the W.

Sooo... Your basing Chuds first season in Cleveland to Norv. LOL Chud is first year coach. Give him a few years then judge him.

I think everyone is trying to rationalize the disappointment of the loss, not because we may not make the playoffs, but because this win would have made the Panthers a truly dominant team. We would have been the team on ESPN all day, instead we will have to go back to the workman like grind the Panthers have always been accustomed to. Everyone was finally ready to believe, as hard as it was to do. Anything is still possible, but it would have been a relief to take the division from New Orleans in their building and announce we are ready to compete with Cam at QB for the next ten years. Instead we lost 31-18 in an annoying fashion. There wasn't even a blown call at the end of the game to complain about. We were beaten soundly and the most promising part of the team, the defense, which was the pride of the win streak may not be as good as we thought.

look who's overreacting. our D is still full of studs and is still a top 3 unit. it was a failure of coaching and execution last night. keep the faith friend. its one loss to a great team in their place after they just got trashed. even the division title is still within reach with some help from TB or STL.

You may want to look up the definition of rationalize. I'll give you a hint, the threads about us being like San Diego, the ones about Rivera, and any other threads trying to find a scapegoat for the loss relate to the definition, but not in the way you think.
