How many sacks has 77 given up on the year?

We don't have any true electric WRs that get open

89 is old. It shows. LaFell continues to show why we don't need him next year. Ginn gets by because he's fast as hell...still not a good route runner nor does he have consistency with his hands

Add that to a weak right side of the OLine. It's a miracle we are 9-4 lol

I know there isn't a better option right now.

But next year? Yeah, that spot needs an upgrade.

Yeah I don't like to talk about offseason during the season but expect Bell back. His Cap figure is low and we have proven we can win with him. I would love to draft a tackle, who knows what will be available. A big target receiver would also be very helpful and those are pretty hard to find.

Free agency is the other option and I wouldn't count on anything there. A really good RT might cost 8m a year. We are in cap hell with a ton of guys to resign. Would you rather pay Bell 500k or get a 20% better guy for 4m? I bet DG would choose Bell.

Was anyone open?

Well I think this is a bigger picture problem. Part of it might be talent or scheme. But another part of it is Cam. In games like tonight he's not a rhythm thrower. He looks for open receivers and drills in the ball. He's under a ton of pressure to not turn the ball over and has only been taking sure things. For Cam to enter that next level he needs to throw covered guys open. Guys will come out of their breaks and the ball hasn't left Cam's hand yet, this gives the defenders time to break on the receiver.

Another big problem tonight was getting off schedule. I thought we ran the ball well but we didn't stick with it. We didn't get those 5 yards dump offs that get us in 3rd and short. When we did dump it off we were getting hit for 2 yard gains. We just put ourselves in a ton of bad downs and distance.

No way I can see Bell back as a starter.

No one was open

Guess Cam can throw it out of bounds and get an intentional grounding penalty.

Yep. Even during the replays, it showed nobody was getting open. They want Cam to "throw open" receivers, but if we do that and and he starts throwing more picks he'll be blamed for that. The WR's we have, outside of Smith, aren't physical enough. So if Cam has to throw the WR open and it's a play were the WR has to fight for the ball, 8-10 our WR is going to lose that battle. Our wideouts, aside from Smith, just aren't very good.

And to the ones saying it was cams fault on those sacks, he should've stepped up in the pocket...he couldn't. They were getting pressure up the middle. Cams sacks were probably gonna be sacks no matter what he did.

Asking the receivers to get wide ass open because Cam doesn't want to pull the trigger really isn't fair. Most receivers don't "get open" The ball either arrives at the correct time or they are physical enough to win vs. man. There is no mythical receiver that defenders forget to cover long enough for Cam to find them and throw the ball 25 yards down field.

You say throw wide receivers open like it's the easiest thing. The replays showed tight coverage, throwing wr open leads to picks because our receivers are slow and are not exactly high jumpers that can tower over cbs for catches like a crabtree or vernon davis. I think you are overestimating the receivers and underestimating how bad they were covered in the game.

Post some screenshots and draw up where Cam can squeeze a ball into an receivers hands (like they wouldn't drop it). I don't think you can seriously make this argument with the play calling we had tonight.

Cam's fault. Every single one of them.

There is a finite amount of time a QB has to throw the ball. He can throw or run. If you hold the ball the pass rushers will win. If you run backwards your hanging your tackles out to dry.

You have to throw the ball, that is what it comes down to.

He's starting because he has one of the lowest cap figures on the team. There is no one behind him. If you bench Bell next week there is no one....Travis Bond? Somehow we have managed to win 9 games with him. The only difference tonight is Cam was dreadfully slow getting rid of the ball. I mean he was holding it over 4 seconds every drop back. It was a miracle he wasn't sacked more.

And let's be clear on something, not every team has a stud RT. There are many teams with a guy just as bad as Bell.

"Oh what's that Cam, you got a poo OL, and a guy who wouldn't start in the CFL as your RT? Suck it up ya bum!"

KendrickPanther, why don't you tell us some more about your sources that said Cam has a poor work ethic.

I'm not going to find pictures on the internet to make a point. But the play were Ginn ran a hitch along the right sideline. He made his break, he was wide open for 2 seconds and by the time the ball came out the defender closed on him and broke it up.

So this is how it's gonna be. Every time Cam plays poorly I'm going to criticize him and your going to defend him. Deal with it. He played like crap. Bell was good enough to win 9 games but Cam hangs him out to dry and now he belongs in the CFL. Right Tackles do not win or lose games, QBs do.
