This loss can only help

i will say it's kind of nice to hear the shrieking agony/rage of panthers fans who haven't posted about the panthers in five years and all of a sudden they're the biggest panthers fans EVAR

that's sort of cutting off your nose to spite your face i guess but a small part of me gets satisfaction out of it

This game will be the Players' Buffalo game that woke Riverboat Ron. I am not a least bit worried about what transpired at the Outhouse dome.

Thats why there isn't anything like the NFL. We just got whooped by a team who just last week was taken to the woodshed by a team that needed us to fumble late in the game to win, whom by the way, lost to a niners team that this Panthers team had topped. What!? Explain that mess!!!

Our zone is not at all effective against the Saints pass attack, and when we tighten up our coverage in the red zone it's irrelevant due to the height and athleticism of Coleston and Graham. Considering the Saints are going to be the main barrier to our making the playoffs and advancing in the near future, we need to upgrade the secondary in the upcoming draft. Also we'll need to draft a RT to replace this years Nakamura, Byron Bell.

Dave fixed one area in his first offseason.  Hopefully he can fix two in his second.

We are not a finished product, but we are a helluva lot better than we were last year.

This season still holds magic.  The ride ain't over yet.

I believe.

strangely, I think this was a very much needed loss! Its better to taste the past and hunger for something else. I hope it was disgusting to our team that way they take it up another notch! Pureness> questionable streak! Now we can honestly have our first chance to prove we are for real! Its all about the bounce back. If we can't then all those wins were pointless. Moreover, I think any team looking to win in the playoffs need that L before they start. Better now than later! After this L I feel more confident about our team now! Reality checks are good!

I hope we learned that zone can't be used for every opponent.

We don't have the players to do much else. You really wanted our DBs playing man against Graham, Colston and Brees?

Thing is with out coverage we are extremeley limited. Our entire defensive scheme relies almost soley on the front to get to the QB. Not just get to the QB but basically get there before our DBs get burned, which will happen soon after 2 seconds.

I really hope out secondary is revampe this offseason and for the love of god play Captain to his strengths and nothing more.

That sound you hear is everyone jumping off the bandwagon. Thats fine, we dont need em.

about fuggin time... that was the worst part of the win-streak. bandwagon fans, and even legit thick-and-thin fans, got cocky and thought our team was gonna win out and trash every contender in the playoffs. or thats how it came across. little reality check never hurt anyone. this team is still capable of hanging with anyone in the League. will we? probably not. after being exposed last sunday, i think teams know how to beat us. my thought is that we win 1 or two games in the playoffs. cinderella run would be to make it to the SB. miracle would actually win the Big Game.

We're talking about the Saints, not the Patriots...

similar styled offenses though. had we jammed the Saints (and got to Drew Brees) like we did the Patriots (/Brady), the game would have been closer. our gameplan for the Patriots would have worked against New Orleans. we may still not have won but it may not have been embarrassing like it was. its a moot point now though. learn the lessons and go on another 7 game tear. leggo Panthers!

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
