I have no idea why we don't get Tolbert more involved.  He's the only one that consistently makes plays.  HeII, he had one of the few good plays on offense only for it to get called back by fuging Byron Bell.

They both need to go after the season.  For the money this team is dumping into their contracts, they could fill a lot of holes on this team.  RB is the easiest position to replace in the NFL.

It is pretty clear that those days are long gone and not to return. Stew just cannot stay healthy with his bad wheels and Williams doesn't hit the holes Like he used to.I know the line basically sucks but I was hoping for some kind of running game. I know they are stuck with Stewarts contract (from what I have read) and Williams will probably be gone next year. Just a shame that these two could never replicate those couple of years when they where dynamic.Maybe if we actually had a Offensive line things would have been different.....just seems the boat may have sailed for these two.So I guess a running back may soon be a need also.Seems ironic that after all the cash sunk into these two contracts we still basically have no running game.

 

considering the average lifespan of a RB in the NFL is 3 years- i think we got more out of D.Will than we ever could dream of.. Stewart on the other hand gave us 3 good years at most

Yeah, we could have the same production for less money but that isn't JStew or Deangelo's fault. That's Marty Hurney's fault. Cutting them won't really help. They have tons of guaranteed money.
