It's because of how the rules work. The refs initially ruled it as an incomplete Catch, and there was not any definite video evidence of it proving that it WAS a catch. Every video angle they kept showing showed theilens back and not the side of him where he had the ball secured. IMHO, it was a catch. But Theilen could've made it undisputable if he didn't have to double clutch it to catch it before he got his knee down. -

If Bryce continues to improve game by game, he’ll earn another year. If he substantially improves in 2025, he may be extended… or not. While I still have reservations about his size and ability to handle the entire route tree, you have to give him credit for the recent improvement. The offense is looking better, trending in the right direction, and he passes the ‘eye test’ if you squint just a little.
