What we learned tonight:

1) Defense is not elite

2) We aren't super bowl caliber

3) Rivera still questionable; squeezes too much in big games

4) Offense too conservative in important games on the road (San Fran we were just lucky, we were too conservative then too)

5) LB's can't cover

6) Read option still is mostly horseshit

7) We will be in a fight for our lives just to make the playoffs, one game lead on Cardinals now

8) We will be on the road in the playoffs

9) We will not be able to beat Payton and Brees in the dome if we go back

10) We are not ready for the big time.

Nope, so basically both plays would not get us the lead, thus we needed to score points any way we could. Early in the 3rd cutting the lead to 2 scores with no 2pt conversion required is an acceptable outcome, and Gano has been pretty consistent.

 

Basing the process on outcome is a terrible strategy.

Don't care about losing this one. It all comes down to winning our last three. And I still don't give a poo about that. All that matters is a playoff seed. Panthers have shown in the past that a good playoff seed doesn't matter. We've been a good road playoff team and we've had times where we stink it up with a high seed.

 

Playoffs starts the season over. Don't get your panties in a bunch about losing to a really good 9-3 team. fug the Saints, but they've got an excellent offense.

I have a bad gut feeling this team will fall short of the playoffs, especially with not holding the tie breaker over the Cardinals
