Here's my honest feeling: there are no elite defenses in the NFL anymore. there just aren't. Teams built on D are a thing of the past- so you better have an offense that can light them up and win this type of shootout because this type of game will always exist in today's NFL. You either have a bad defense or a mediocre defense. But your offense better be elite. Our's isnt.

I've been a Keek-fan since before we drafted him... in fact, I said that is who I wanted us to draft.

But, it is clear that he has issues in pass coverage. The Saints are picking on him for that very reason. Sometimes its technique, other times he's getting caught looking in the backfield and trying to cheat.

 

He has only faced brees twice and never faced Payton. He is just unfortunately learning.

Ward is right.. Score TDs and get pressure on Brees.. Two things I think we should be able to do. Got to get some fire under some asses and make some adjustments to get the momentum back in our favor.

Those first two drives that resulted in field goals, was a momentum killer for us. You can't trade kicks for touchdowns against Brees. One field goal was doable... two was downright unacceptable.

 

The other major issue is, the defense can't get a finger on Brees. The Seahawks proved, you can beat the Saints if you can get enough pressure on Brees and force him to make erratic throws. Brees has had moments tonight where he could take a nap and watch all three movies in the Lord of the Rings trilogy plus added bonus scenes, before our front 7 became even a slight concern! ugh

I obviously thought we would do better than this, but what were half of u actually expecting to happen? Why are you acting surprised that Brees is good and carving up our no- name secondary?
