I remember watching on TV. I was 4....

amazing the differences between now and then...around 1971 or so we went to FL to visit my grandfather. We stopped for a tour of Cape Canaveral and went inside the (now named) Shuttle Assembly Building. I saw a Saturn rocket, pretty much up close, in various sections lying on the ground floor. Later it went up as one of the last Apollo missions. I remember getting freeze dried Neopolitan ice cream. nowadays you cant go anywhere near the Assembly building, or so I've been told.

I was 5, and I vaguely remember watching it. My mom said I use to sit through hours of the apollo stuff on TV.

I had just turned 5, and my earliest memories are going for an airplane ride on my 5th birthday, and being woken up to watch guys walk on the moon a month later. I was a total space nut and knew everything about the moon rocket.
