It's time to get vertical like 2011. Open up a can of whoop ass. The only thing the Saints can hope to do is to tire our defense. But if we can score a couple of quick touchdowns we can then revert back to our eat the clock methodical offense. I don't mean conservative I mean ball control + Riverboat Ron. I expect our defense to be very stout for at least the first half of this game, and if our offense can control the game then they will be stout for 4 qtrs.

Dumb suggestion.

We are on an 8 game win streak. So, let's scrap what is working and go back to our offense that got us 6 wins in a full season.

What I'm suggesting is that we fuggin dominate. We didn't have the same defense in 2011. Cam will need to air it out this game. The Saints offense is high powered and they will get all the breaks with the refs in the dome.

Given the state of our offense around him, he's doing the best he can. He's been our most dominant weapon by far.  Don't think people realize just how much his talent has compensated for other areas on this team.

Not smart to try and move away from what has led to an 8 game win streak.

If you get in an all out air war with Brees and the Saints, we will likely lose.

A balanced and mythodical offense is exactly what will beat the Saints.

I think the argument can be made......we are on our 8 game streak bc Cam is using his legs more than he did at the beginning of the year.

Amping that up slightly for a team that struggles against the dual threat QB isn't exactly scrapping what is working

Cam running can aid in keeping the long and mythodical drives going

I don't really believe Newton's being 'held back'.  Heck, you could argue he's playing the best football of his career.

 

Whatever the 'reins' are, I'm generally not a fan of taking what's won eight straight games - including big ones against the 49ers and Patriots -  and throwing it out the window in game nine.

All that has to be done to beat NO, and we have seen this time and time again, just punch them the mouth, over and over and over again.
