I agree with others about Lovie Smith, he would make the Texans instant contenders again. They have way too much talent to be 2-11.

All I know is that if I was a legit HC candidate, I'd be all over that job.  Most teams looking for a HC are a complete dumpster fire.  You don't see a team with a roster like Houston's in the market for a HC very often.  KC had a very nice defensive roster, but their offensive roster didn't hold a candle to Houston's.  KC hired a proven HC and a got a solid, but unspectacular QB and look at the turnaround they've had this year, albeit against a weak schedule.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Houston have a similar turnaround next year.

 

On the flip side, the Texans' owner doesn't sound like a guy I'd want to work for at a lower level in the organization.  He sounds extremely adverse to promoting people.

Houston needs a QB though, and will most likely be starting over in that area via the draft. I guess they're in the front of the line to get Teddy.

McNair sounds like a micromanager from hell.  He also sounds like a guy who isn't ready to move on from Matt Schaub.

I see Houston as this years KC Chiefs from last year. Too much talent to have only 2 wins.

Not really fair to fire him imo. Foster and cushing both have knees made of glass and schaub has been dreadful when hes usually pretty reliable. The only person that shouldve been fired is schaub

There's no way the Panthers will grant permission for them to interview any of our coaches until our season is over.
