I'm a stat nerd and wanted to share some interesting things i've come across with you all, feel free to add to it as you wish. I might make this a weekly thing

* For the third week in a row, the Carolina Panthers attracted more than 500,000 viewers in the Charlotte area's TV audience with Sunday’s win over Tampa Bay. In other words, the Panthers, based on Nielsen Media Research estimates of 2.8 million viewers in the region, have hovered near 20 percent of all possible viewers of late. By way of comparison, Carolina’s TV viewership earlier this season hovered between 300,000 and 400,000 viewers, in the Charlotte area, but jumped with the winning streak.

*The Panthers have scored 8-of-12 times on their opening drive of the second half this season, including six touchdowns. Also if you don't count kneel-downs in the final seconds as possessions, they've scored on 9-of-12 drives to close out the first half, including seven touchdowns.

* Opposing offenses haven't scored a single point in the second half in four of the Panthers' last five games.(New England)

*21 points is Tampa Bay's largest margin of defeat all year

*For the first time all year the Panthers did not allow a quarterback sack or hit

*Mike Glennon's NFL record 8 games to start a career with a touchdown came to an end Sunday

* The Panthers are now 8 of 9 when going for it on fourth-and-1 since his team's Week 2 loss to Buffalo,

*Cam Newton has thrown and run for a touchdown in 20 of a possible 44 games

* The Panthers lead the NFL in scoring defense, yielding 13.1 points per game, and rank second in total defense with 289.8 yards allowed

*This season the Panthers have allowed a touchdown on only 32.1 percent of opponent’s red zone drives (27.8 percent during the streak). Not only is that best in the NFL this season, it’s the best percentage since the league expanded to 32 teams in 2002. (2nd 2005 bears 32.5%)

*The Panthers 8 game win streak is the longest in the franchise's history

Cam Newton needs 76 yards and 2 TD to pass Peyton Manning for yardage & TD in first 3 seasons.

That would put him #1 in yardage & #2 in TD all time through 3 seasons.
