The Panthers have been full of nice guys the past five years and they haven't done that great. Mike Mitchell has helped  this team to have an attitude and they are good,there has to be a correlation there.

 

The Panthers may (or may not) be the best team in football, but they do have the #1 scoring defense in the league and yet their recent starting defense includes a cast off from Oakland (Mitchell), a cast off from Philly (Mikell) and FIVE, yes FIVE rookies (Lotulelei, Klein, White, Short and Lester).so skill plus attitude will take you a long way in the NFL..

Mitchell seems like a very nice guy. You dont need to be as asshole or have a questionable background or criminal past to be a beast on the field.
