We can beat the Seahawks in Seattle in the Playoffs

We are not playing complete games yet.

Cam still throwing picks, defense giving up bombs right and left.  We are still winning in spite of our mistakes, but, that crap won't flush during the playoffs, much less championship games or the Super Bowl

It's amazing looking at the box score of that game. I almost wish I hadn't. Godfrey was our leading tackler, Beason (who had an awful game) missing a tackle that would have given us the ball back after the fumble, was our 4th leading tackler. Olsen (who had maybe his worse day as a pro) was our leading receiver. The muffed punt, Alexander's ejection, etc. Got sick a little bit looking at that, but smile when I realize the corner we've turned.

Anyway, my last post on the topic for now. We need to win Sunday. Thanks for the respectful Hawk posters and for beating the Saints.

Seattle fans who keep referencing 2005 are only fooling themselves.

2005:

Carolina was a worn out team playing their 4th straight road game. We were missing every single offensive skill player not named Steve Smith. 89 was THE most dominant player in football that year but he was useless because he was all we had left and Seattle just quadruple teamed him all game. Defensively we were banged up, too. Seattle was healthy and had played one home game after having a bye. Pretty sure Pittsburgh kicked their ass 2 weeks later.

2013:

Pain.

Tatupu's hit on Goings was not late. In today's NFL, he would have been flagged and fined for helmet-to-helmet contact, but in the rules at the time, it wasn't illegal or dirty. It was unfortunate that Goings went out of the game, but he gave just as good as he got. Goings knocked Tatupu back and sent his mouthguard flying, and also gave Tatupu a concussion.

I have never rewatched that sorry excuse for a game and I may be wrong. I do remember my blood boiling at the time because I thought it was an obvious late and unwarranted hit.

Anyway, to your point, I didn't come here intending to rub 2005 in anyone's face, and I am happy to not mention it unless it's a relevant part of a conversation. I hate it when Digits fan talk about their 5 Super Bowls like that proves anything today.

Yes I realize that wasn't your intent. However after nearly 8 years of it, its old. It's like working with the general public and hearing the same lame joke several times a day, for several years. (note: I lived in Washington for several years, so this is especially true for me)
