What is the origin of the Riverboat Ron name?

Didn't David Newton write an article titled "Ron Rivera: A Riverboat Gambler?" or something like that? I don't know if the article actually called him Riverboat Ron, but I think that's where the idea came from. And yeah, I think it was after the Vikes win.

 

this sounds right - IIRC; I think someone started something like "the Riveraboat" or " The Riveraboat Gambler" or something along those lines after an article about his 4th down tendencies cameout around the Vikings game. Then someone just cut it down to "Riverboat Ron"
