Discipline

I think the discipline of this team might be the biggest strength. I don't recall a Panther team with so few penalties or personal fouls in quite some time. (08' comes to mind tho, not having a single pass interference call until the playoff game if I remember correctly?)

It has become obvious that the players are doing their jobs and trusting the man next to them. Greg Hardy is a prime example of a disciplined player. The San Fran game was the defining moment of this season when I truly recognized how disciplined this team is.

On paper, our secondary should get torched every game... This group just simply has a higher IQ than we give them credit for. (no offense Josh Norman, but thats why you don't play).

Frank Alexander being stupid early in the season and maybe a Mike Mitchell laying the hammer a time or two are the only times this team has been called for personal fouls or unnecessary roughness. Those 15 yarders are debilitating, but they are few and far between with this squad.

For such a relatively young team it is refreshing to have some veteran leaders and a coaching staff that demand smart play, and for me it hasn't gone unnoticed.
