Cam having a 6'5 #1 WR and 6'3 #2 WR would be HUGE!!!! literally lol

steve smith in the slot with olsen at TE

make it happen. DOUBLE DIP for WR

What even makes it more amazing is that both guys can go and get the ball, can get OPEN, and make plays down field after the catch

When you have wide receivers you can trust, you can get the ball out faster, alleviates alot of the o-line woes

When you score points it makes it easier on your defense, our secondary can be fixed through free agencies

If Rivera reads this, GET KELVIN BENJAMIN AND DONTE MONCRIEF

but his projection is rising, or us normal people are just now catching up to where his true stock is. he is just as explosive if not more then Evans after the catch, you should see the TD he scored on Florida where he ran thru several tackles and scored off a slant.(they have several NFL players in there secondary)

i hope he is there in the 2nd, if so i hope he is the pick.

I've actually gone through a couple game tapes in my spare time this week of some of the other WR's besides Evans and Benjamin and I have to go back on what I said about Benjamin. I'm still firmly an Evans homer but I honestly wouldn't mind taking Benjamin in the 1st. I still think Benjamin lacks some in some areas Evans excels, but Benjamin and Evans are light years ahead of the other "Big" WR's in this draft.

Both Evans and Benjamin possess strong hands for making catches.

Both have large frames.

Both have above average speed for a 6'5" WR.

I still believe Evans is a better playmaker, but Benjamin isn't as far off as I remembered going back and re-watching a couple FSU games this year.

Both had Heisman candidates throwing to them.

Overall it wouldn't surprise me once teams start to analyze the WR crop this year, they'll see Evans, Watkins and Benjamin as the 3 best WR's by a long shot. Only other WR close to this group is Allen Robinson.

Ok so without trading up sammy is gone so is usc's wr. That said if we don't go te were running out of smitty replacements. Benjamin hasn't been getting a lot of hype but what an athletic freak. 6'5 240 who moves like a reciver. He is a bit raw but his potential is unlimited. Think cam at wr coming out of the draft. What say you?

Dude, there's reportedly a fair amount of talent in this draft. I have looked at some of the vids myself. There's no guarantee that Watkins is going first. A lot is going to depend upon what happens at the Combine and workouts. There are some experts who I've seen rank Watkins first for sure, but then there are some that rank Mike Evans, Marquise Lee, and Jordan Matthews (to name a few) in front of him.  Moreover, Brandon Coleman, Jaelen Strong, Donte Moncrief, and Devin Street are all "big" receivers.  Any one of those guys could go ahead of Benjamin at the present moment.

Light years? Poppycock!  Brandon Coleman and Jaelen Strong are right there with Benjamin.  I could also argue that Moncrief and Street are just as enticing, though they don't have the QBs to truly show their potential.

Evans is at this point the better receiver. I dont think he's as athletic as Benjamin, but Evans seem more explosive. Evans will more than likely be the no1 or no2 receiver off the board in May. Benjamin is having a tremendous season, but I think he hasnt make a case to be a high 1st round pick yet due to having one good season. If he does decide to enter the draft, we should be in position to draft him. Jordan Matthews may go ahead of Benjamin.

most of everything that i read is saying he is leaning towards entering. he is a red shirt Soph, but turns 23 in February. plus a lot of nole  fans are saying he is leaving.

I think it's time for leave but if he stays I can see that too.

    • You and I both know there isn't a coach we could or can still hire that can "fix" Bryce Young. Even at mighty Alabama with one of the best modern coaches in college football history Mac Jones was still a better QB than Bryce Young. Mac Jones.... We already know how you feel about Canales on a personal level so in that regard you wanting him fired is not news. You don't have to disguise it behind this shroud of rabble about not fixing Bryce Young. To his credit he somehow had us competive against the Chiefs and the Eagles on the road with #9. But no coaching staff can overcome their starting QB turning the ball over 4 times. We definitely have developed some of our younger offensive pieces. And as far as Evero goes he has earned criticism and if he's fired so be it but in his defense many of us said in the offseason this defensive roster was a disaster waiting to happen given the resources we spent on the offense while neglecting the defense. That was Dan Morgan's plan. He swung too hard toward offense to salvage the Bryce Young trade. That's on him. We can scream about XL all we want but at least he's actually been on the field for the most part. The Brooks pick was a luxury pick at the time and now it is a Hurney level blunder. Dan Morgan has gotten a lot of early praise here when in reality he's unequivocally deserving of significant criticism. But if you say that some people get up in arms because he's a former Panther. Big whoop. He has just as much to prove this upcoming season as Canales. That's why to me in my own personal opinion I say one more season and then if it's more of the same say goodbye to both.
    • It's a decent vid with compelling reasons for his opinion. But, my thing is is that you simply can't draft McMillan thinking he is a surefire WR1. There are questions. His 40---rightly or wrongly---will play a part. I'd think that his splits (which will speak more to his game translating to the pros in my mind) are more important.  As much as you're trying to sell us that McMillan is a don't-overthink-it-type-of-player, I wouldn't say that's the case. Workouts will play a part in all of this.  At this point, I like the thought of Tetairoa. That's as much as I can give you right now.
