Fsu's Kelvin Benjamin on the back end of the 1st?

This is how I see it:

Mike Evans (Best WR in the class, future superstar)

.

.

.

.

Sammy Watkins (Overrated but still has strong potential)

Davante Adams (Sleeper to rise)

.

Marqise Lee (Just can't like those USC WR's)

.

Jordan Matthews

.

Brandon Coleman

I like Benjamin, but he probably needs to stay another year at FSU to become a more complete WR.

In October last year Star was my crush, after we started our late surge I thought he was gone forever but by some miracle he fell to us. My crush since September this year has been Mike Evans, maybe lightening will strike twice and Evans will tumble down the board...probably not. Even though I've never been a fan of trading up, I'd give up our 2nd just to move up and grab Evans.

Benjamin and Evans are very similar players. if Benjamin is not complete, then Evans is not as well. no draft prospect is complete when entering the draft tho.

I'm just speaking from the standpoint that if Benjamin sees he's projected in the 3rd round as a red shirt sophomore, he'll probably stay another year and probably jump up a round or two since he has Jameis Watson. Evans is also a red shirt sophomore but he'll likely be without his starting QB as well as the fact he's moving up draft boards and will likely be taken in the high 1st. As much as I like what I see in Benjamin, he's not quite as explosive post catch as Evans and would benefit more from another year with Watson.

That being said, I'd take Benjamin in a heart beat if he's on the board with our 2nd round pick.

1st) Antonio Richardson OT

2nd) Kelvin Benjamin WR

Would be a fantastic first two round imo.

Benjamin has more potential than Matthews and is far superior than Coleman. He's a legitimate prospect. I rather we draft him this year than next year because he could be a Top 10 pick in 2015.

If he comes out this year I'd put him a tick above Matthews. Am I the only one that feels Benjamin is really sluggish after the catch? I've watched almost every FSU game this year and he just doesn't seem to have a burst post catch.

As a Fsu fan i have watched every game this season. His work ethic is not in question as har far he came from last year til now. I don't think he's sluggish at all infact,i'm impressed he runs as fast as he does weighing anywhere from 234-240 they were running reverses with this kid and he frequently makes splash plays of 20 or more. As a freshman he was the first pick of each team in the spring game and with a nickname like "avatar"(given to him by boston college players) I can imagine him catching jump balls from cam. I think he is faster than evans if you ask me. That said if i had a chance at sammy i would go sammy easy. Not sure why this board hates him so much but its clear no one can do the things he can do with the ball in his hands.

but his projection is rising, or us normal people are just now catching up to where his true stock is. he is just as explosive if not more then Evans after the catch, you should see the TD he scored on Florida where he ran thru several tackles and scored off a slant.(they have several NFL players in there secondary)

i hope he is there in the 2nd, if so i hope he is the pick.

as a U fan, i hate fuging FSU. but i would take at least 10 players off this FSU squad to be panthers. especially KB, and Greene. Jameis is a stud, and Cameron is one of the better LT prospects this year.Evans is a lot more stiff when running then KB. i forgot that BC called him avatar because he looks and plays like a created player, Duke coach Cutcliff (sp) called him a monster.

they hate on Sammy because a lot of these guys are gamecock fans, so they give a blind judgement on prospects. but he is the real deal, and one of the better route runners coming out. he does have the occasional concentration drop, but he makes plays on every levels of the field.
