What Saints Fans are Saying

Nope. Haven't watched one game. You got me! I've been a huddler long enough to know when to talk actual football to someone and when it's a waste of time. Your inability to comprehend an actual conversation, and your eagerness to fling your crap at the first sign, shows your lack of football acumen. You are not worth the energy it is taking Rum to try and have a real conversation with you. You, sir, are good for poking fun at and nothing more.

I'm not trying to follow the conversation, personally I could care less what you guys believe. I know what I know, I see what I see, I am an eyetest person don't care about anything else.

to be honest, I'm just kind of astounded that you guys repeatedly blurt out the same obvious statistical anomalies about our QB, but not one of you notice that being a great organization and great team from year to year is truly a process that cannot be noticed from our own eyesight. I understand the upside of our QB and why everyone is so excited but it takes more than just him to be a great organization. I'm not so sure any you people really do truly understand that.

Which is why building a solid D, starting from the trenches was so important this past offseason. The LB's then get better and it masks the play of our suspect secondary. A strong D allows you to compete year in and year out. The other side is what needs to be addressed next. The OLine needs a makeover. Despite what you may or may not be trying to say, Cam makes the line look way better than it's actually performing. The right side is worse than your articulating skills. Keep our QB upright and allow him time, and his development continues and we can consistently be a contender. A WR is needed to, but that is after the OLine is addressed. That's my opinion on the recipe for consistent success. Of course, none of this matters if we don't have a franchise QB.

But... Could u IMAGINE if Breez HAD CAMS BODY AND SPEED?!!???! i kno i cannn

umm... pretty much ALL of us do.

i dont know where you got that. i've said numerous times this team has finally caught up with Cam's level of playing (well minus o-line).

our defense is the best in the league. there is no denying it takes a TEAM to win games. we are just arguing with you about you saying a running qb cant win a superbowl. why are you diverging from the conversation at hand? the one that you started.

I hear you, I don't believe running qbs will win super bowls. This year shula has taking the running offense away from cam except for 4th and short. On the scrambles yes cam may do his damage, what I am trying to say is that cam will have to win the game with his arm in the playoffs none the less in a super bowl. Rushing yards will always come into play because of his ability to scramble. To beat a super bowl defense, just like all the other qbs you guys named sure they were mobile but damn near not to the extent of cam, you will have to do it with your arm or the help of a great running game. Yea we do have a great running game but our o line is still very suspect.

but is this not what we are seeing this year? is Cam not winning against elite teams with his arm? or have i been dropping too much lsd.

Please, please tell us that you are in the 5th or 6th grade.

If not....please never have kids. The gene pool can't handle dilution of that magnitude.

did you see how many picks and errant throws he made during his rookie year, did you see how long it took for him to get rid of the ball his rookie year?????? Many of the people really don't realize how much work it takes to have a great season throughout an organization, they take it for granted and think that every season from here on out is going to be great. Do many of you realize we haven't had a winning season in over 5 years, so now you think just because of this great season we are superbowl bound for the next 5. We have a terrible owner who won't spend any money on anything and is not committed to winning.

This is the most ignorant post yet. The NFL CAPS YOUR roster. I guess you are still upset about the purge of 2010. JR was cleaning house due to a possible labor dispute. News flash we are past that now, and almost over cap with Hurney's Magic. This organization is trending up due to our young core roster and a general manager that put us in a position to be successful for years to come. Yes it has been 5 long years since we had that success, but it is here now. We have a chnace to win our division and possible #2 seed, yet we are not committed to winning? What am I missing? I can only imagine what next year will bring once we have Oline help.

There's hope for you yet. During our win streak, almost every week the opposing D comes out and says the game plan is to take away the run and make Cam beat you with his arm. He's done that. They'll continue to dare him to do that. He's also still beating them with his legs. If you watch, Cam goes through his progressions and will hang around in the collapsing pocket longer than he should, waiting for a receiver to uncover. He pretty much only runs when he has to, and when he does, it keeps drives alive. He's not a running QB, he's a pocket passer who can fly.

Enjoy the ride.

The anticipation will come. The accuracy may never be on par with Brees, who's had to refine his mechanics heavily to overcompensate for his lack of athletic ability. You are neglecting to acknowledge that Brees has been playing for quite some time and Cam was raw plutonium coming out. The scary part about that is Cam's ceiling is like a mountain compared to Brees' mole hill. (See what I did there?)

yeah I mean I think you are partly correct. At the same time tell me if I'm wrong in cam's first two years the defense was so bad most of the time cam had to lead the team back, come from behind. He couldn't make those game winning drives now most are you saying well the d had the lead in the fourth quarter in plenty of games the last two years. The offense got conservative I hate that and no excuse for it. I'm saying cam had the chance to make some winning drives none the less. Anyways that's the past I'm not blaming either side of the ball. NOW because of the way the defense is playing and the running game being so dominant I really believe that cam got in a come from behind situation in a playoff game in the road I still have my doubts mainly because of our lack of explosive big plays and our biggest running threat is the QB. Playoff football is different and the o- line would probably be blitzed like crazy because of obvious passing downs and worry that cam would bring out of the favre in him which sometimes happens. Our offense sometimes stalls in the first half etc. St. Louis, SF, Seattle, Tb this past weekend. I think the defense is kind of covering up for some offensive inconsistencies. That's just my take.

This rileyfreeman character (who brain processing is nothing like his name sake) is really agitating me.

Cam has beat numerous teams with his arm, he runs only when it is the last option. Just having eyeballs and two brain cells rubbing together can tell you that. It is his ability to have the pocket collapse around him and still find a way to make a play, it his ability to get 20-30-40-50 yd plays at a whim with his feet while still killing you with his arm.

Cam is plutonium grade raw material

A weapon of mass destruction already and he hasn't even reached half of his potential.

Don't believe me, just watch
