What Saints Fans are Saying

lmaooooooooo did you see how slow those GB defenders closed on him, if that was today elway would have stood no chance athletes are so much more agile and faster and in better shape in todays game. Cam progression this year I truly believe comes down to shula taking the pressure off of him by using the running so now cam doesn't feel like he has to win the game with every play. Cam I don't believe necessarily was the most raw of all he had been a QB his whole life, I think he had to adjust to the speed of the game his first year and he has done that. His second obstacle was truly learning how to deal with losses in a mature matter. His passing skills needed minor tweaks (ongoing situation) along with the correct coach who knows when to take advantage of when cam is thriving.

i literally can't have a real debate with you when first straight up lie. Look at our rushing numbers the past 5 weeks. Cam has won games for us singlehandedly against the elite teams we have played thus far.

and 2. that was that era of football. John Elway was a freak for that time period. And he was an old man by that point. He had been making plays with his legs his entire career.  EVERYBODY is faster and more athletic now because of health awareness and top of the line training.

Adjust to the speed of the game his rookie year? Did you watch his games? I agree with the maturity issue. His pre-media speech after the buffalo loss was great to see. And every qb in the league needs a coach who can take advantage of what the qb thrives in.

you are kind of dumb

You post like a 16 year old girl. Granted, some of the stuff you write is semi-tolerable and somewhat correct... Then you go and discredit almost everything with your terrible grasp of the English language and inability to properly express your thoughts.

I think it confused valedictorian in high school for student of the month in elementary school. I don't want to be the one to break the news to it that student of the month was a mandatory award so everyone could feel "smurt" for at least one month.

did you see how many picks and errant throws he made during his rookie year, did you see how long it took for him to get rid of the ball his rookie year?????? Many of the people really don't realize how much work it takes to have a great season throughout an organization, they take it for granted and think that every season from here on out is going to be great. Do many of you realize we haven't had a winning season in over 5 years, so now you think just because of this great season we are superbowl bound for the next 5. We have a terrible owner who won't spend any money on anything and is not committed to winning.

Your inability to follow the linear path of Rum's argument is astounding.

oh poo you are a panthers fan.

wow.

he was a rookie who had one of the most explosive rookie campaigns in nfl history. there is no denying that with the numbers he put up. with the 4th quarter comebacks he had (then the defense blew it).

he set the speed most games. picks and errant throws happen to every rookie. you act as if he should be some elite passer coming out of 1 year at auburn.

i've never said we are super bowl bound for the next 5 years. I said we can win a superbowl with Cam. i guess you've been saying we can't because what "running qb" has won a superbowl.

many posters provided facts of why you are wrong. you ignored them. you aren't kind of dumb. you are dumb

man I really don't care what you say, none of y'all's posts bother me, I'm typing from a phone that's why some of the words maybe INCORRECTLY SPELLED. The fact is you would post SOMETHING FOOTBALL RELATED or are the only two words you know in football cam and kuechly because you don't really watch the games.

looks kind of familiar doesnt it?

it's amazing people don't see these similarities. it's even more amazing our own fans don't see this. Cam has a long way to go, but damn we've got a bright future with him.

Nope. Haven't watched one game. You got me! I've been a huddler long enough to know when to talk actual football to someone and when it's a waste of time. Your inability to comprehend an actual conversation, and your eagerness to fling your crap at the first sign, shows your lack of football acumen. You are not worth the energy it is taking Rum to try and have a real conversation with you. You, sir, are good for poking fun at and nothing more.

I will never understand posts like this one. If you want to be taken seriously, you should capitalize the first letter in the first word of every sentence. If you want to capitalize for emphasis later in your post but you don't capitalize the first letter in the first word in the first sentence of your post, just don't do it. It isn't a good look.

You're welcome.

another reason you should pick up another sport, most of those guys aren't near the athlete that cam is. Yeah yeah sure they could move a little bit but how many of them do you see ripping off 75 yard runs????????????????? How many of those guys did defensive coordinators have to change their scheme and game plan because of their threat to take it to the house 99 yards. WHO CAN DO THAT????????? CAM CANNNNNNN.

So ur saying it's an unfortunate disadvantage that we have a QB that can do all that? Yeah we all wish that Cam couldn't run or cause coordinators a headache. Just get out of here with that non-sense. Bottom line is that Cam is one of the few quarterbacks who can beat an opponent into submission with his arm or his legs. He is also unlike any QB to come before him. While he can do all that he also has the ability to break tackles line no other QB we have ever seen. Rothelisberger can break tackles but doesn't have the pure athleticism that Cam has. Your argument is weak.

yes but how much better would brees numbers be of he was 6'6 260 and could run like cam along with his refined pocket skill set. Part of brees greatness is the fact that his stature is what it is. Many of you don't think that much cams numbers are due to the fact that defensive schemes have to be put together specifically because of his threat to run, defenses cannt turn their back to him automatically putting them at a disadvantage. Sure, yes cam still has to make the play but if he didn't have his physical nature hr would simply be average until he learned the overall tools to become a great pocket passer. Many people ignore the obvious because they are ignorant. My greatest notice of the offense is the fact that shula and rivera took all the pressure off of cam by creating a downhill running game by control the clock and keeping the opposing d on the field for long periods of time. The one thing that hope to create with that is big plays down the field in the play-action game. I don't believe our receivers will be able make big plays in the post season. Also for the stats matter how many more sacks do you think cam would have if he was drew brees?

wait what?  this is really bad, do you really want to play the ever-so-stupid hypothetical game?  The Panthers have 3 running backs making a ton of money, two before Cam was even drafted.  So you think the run game was designed by Shula or Rivera for Cam.  No, the run game was already here, Cam just makes it so much better.  Seriously, that is a disgraceful post.

to be honest, I'm just kind of astounded that you guys repeatedly blurt out the same obvious statistical anomalies about our QB, but not one of you notice that being a great organization and great team from year to year is truly a process that cannot be noticed from our own eyesight. I understand the upside of our QB and why everyone is so excited but it takes more than just him to be a great organization. I'm not so sure any you people really do truly understand that.

umm... pretty much ALL of us do.

i dont know where you got that. i've said numerous times this team has finally caught up with Cam's level of playing (well minus o-line).

our defense is the best in the league. there is no denying it takes a TEAM to win games. we are just arguing with you about you saying a running qb cant win a superbowl. why are you diverging from the conversation at hand? the one that you started.
